"Okay, whatever you say," He chuckled softly and buried his face into her hair. "If you get hurt, or she does something I am not liable." He murmured against her head as they continued on their way.

"Before?" He echoed, his body stiffened slightly. Darius didn't like the idea of her being in danger. "What do you mean before?" He leaned back and pushed her hair behind her ear. "What happened that I don't know about?" He made a mental note to get one of his guys on Poppy's past.

"What happened Poppy? Tell me," Darius felt his anger rising, his hands started to clench into fists as he waited for her answer. He could see that she was fighting with herself about something, if someone had hurt her he would take care of it. His way. He softened his face and unclenched his fists, "Please tell me." He said in a soft, sympathetic tone. He didn't think she would react well to his more aggressive nature.

"What do you mean you can't?" He looked at her like she had gone and lost her freaking mind. "Tell me Poppy, if you don't tell me I will find out, I have ways. People. DOn't think I won't use them to figure out how and who hurt you." He pulled her as close to him as possible. "I need to know," He said and trailed a finger lightly down her cheek.

Darius listened to her explanation with confusion written all over his face. She was all over the place with what she was saying. "Agency? The mugging was a lie?" He was lost. "I don't understand, explain better."

"Oh okay... I'm..." He bit his tongue, she was lying. But he wasn't going to push her, because he could see he was just making her retreat further and further into some protective shell that she had built for herself. "Lets just drop it and enjoy the day together."

"BB is my twin sister, I've been keeping tabs on her for a while. Finally I've decided to get in contact with her and she thinks I'm lying. So I don't know what to do next," He shrugged, a sigh escaped his lips before he could stop it. Darius was a bit upset about everything with BB, because he had found out that her boyfriend, or friend, whatever he was, Cole had shown BB the proof that they were siblings and she had pretty much blew it off.

"No not really, we were separated when we were babies, so there's not much that we have. I just don't think she cares to be honest. Oh well..." He looked out the window moodily. "Lets not linger on her either. Lets just have fun and forget the real world for a bit," He changed his expression to one that looked light and carefree. He smiled at her and pulled her into his lap.

Darius pressed his lips against hers and kept her tightly against him, sometimes he was glad at how easy it was to get lost in the passion be felt with Poppy. He let out a grunt when the car stopped and the driver opened the door to let them out. "All over too soon," he muttered and helped her out o the car.

"Yeah it can be annoying," Darius slung his arm over her shoulders and walked towards the automatic doors that would lead them to food. He was prepared to buy a lot, his roommate did not keep sufficient enough food in their dorm, he didn't want to eat at the cafeteria if he didn't have to. Since he could buy his own food, that meant Darius didn't have to. "So I was thinking we could get some steaks, pork loin, roasts, what do you think? Whats your favorite meal babe?" He asked once they stepped foot into the large store, his eyes searched for a cart.

Poppy looked up at him and shrugged. Her eyes flicked over the various food aisles, and thought for a moment. "I don't really have a favorite food...but I do like sushi. And...pasta." She said, laughing slightly. Pop saw a cart and grabbed it, wheeling it over to Darius.
"I can make pasta, Sushi we're going to have to order in I'm afraid," He chuckled and watched her backside as she went to get them a cart, yeahhhhh he could get used to this. Darius fell in step with her, "Lets check out the fresh produce, then we'll move onto other stuff, sound good?" he asked, truly wanting her opinion. His eyes skimmed the brightly colored vegetables and fruits, Darius believed whole heartedly in making your food yourself, all that processed crap couldn't be good for a person.

Poppy smiled, nodding. "Okay. And I make some pretty good pasta myself... I lived in France for a bit, and picked up a few things while I was there." She loved cooking, or at least watching her mom cook. "Vous êtes tellement magnifique." Pop said coyly, looking away and picking up a bundle of cilantro and some bright tomatoes.
"Oh those look good," Darius commented to Poppy when he saw the bright red tomatoes. He went over to some fresh produce and grabbed yellow squash, zucchini, and some broccoli. "Alright let's go get some freshet cut," he led her and the cart over to the meat department he started naming things he wanted cut and how, then he leaned against the counter and looked at Poppy. "It's nice to have someone else go with me, I usually do this kind of stuff by myself.

Darius clapped his hand to his heart and looked thoroughly wounded. "Dear me ! How did you know? I can't do anything without my entourage ! I mean I can't even pick out my clothes.." He pulled her into his arms and winked, " Honey haven't you figured out that I'm not like the other boys yet?" He raised both brows and stared intently into her eyes.

"I'm not sure what you just said but it sounded sexy and inviting," Darius whispered in her ear before kissing her neck a moment, then he noticed their audience. "People are watching darling," He said with a chuckle, right before he gave her a scorching kiss with their limbs tangled in one another.

Poppy laughed slightly, softly, smiling. "It was, Darius. And, darling, I don't give a fuck--" she was cut off by their lips connecting, and Poppy simply melted in his arms. The way he treated her from when they first met to now changed drastically, but when they kissed and otherise he was consistent and quite an expert. Pop pulled away, feeling a sense of... hm. Guilt, maybe? "So... who were you talking to on the phone, anyway? Just out of curiosity," she murmured nonchalantly.
Darius sighed, she really wasn't gonna let that go was she? "Just a business colleague. Come on let's go get some pasta," he pulled away from her and started pushing the cart down the next aisle, he ignored the looks of the town patrons that were staring. He didn't really care what anyone thought of him and Poppy.
