Yay ! This is one of my comfort reads :)
I'm so glad you loved it!

I'm glad you liked it! I usually don't get the hyped books but this book really is good.

That's fine, I told you not to wait (it was not available for me at the beginning of the month). Hope that you liked it?

I finished another one of my picks Hot Rocks. While I usually love Nora Roberts this wasn't one of my favorites. It was ok. I felt the story was too rushed and the characters fell in love to quickly. It wasn't really believable. Thanks for the pick!

Why, oh why can't The Perfect Play be as good as it's cover?!?! I mean,

Unfortunately, I found the story itself to be boring and predictable. I didn't particularly love Tara and Nathan either. Mick was ok, but could have been SO much better. For $12.99 I think I deserved a hell of a lot more. It's not even lendable! So, I will continue to look at and love this cover, but I will not spend another $12.99 on the next book. 2 stars. As always, though, thanks for giving me the push to satisfy my curiosity about this one. :)

I completely agree with you. That cover is so freaking lickable, it was seriously one of the best eye-candies for me of 2012.... and then you delve inside... le sigh.

I haven't read Perfect Play yet - but I felt the same way about other Jaci Burton books I have read...she just doesn't do it for me

I've been eying that cover and book for two years but the price has always pulled me up short of buying it. Looks like I'll just leave it on my wishlist and perv on the eye-candy instead of actually reading it ;)

I'm sorry you didn't like it, Katie - I actually did, quite a bit. Guess that's why there are so many different books and authors out there, something for everyone! But whatever anyone thinks of the content, the cover is amazing, isn't it? :D

Absolutely, Karen. :) That cover is beyond amazing. I think that's what made me like Mick more than the other characters...I just kept picturing the cover and it was all good.

but omgosh. the mental image of Mac in nothing but a kilt, red bandanna, boots, and paint splashes is enough to sustain many a chilly night.....

Dee,
Jim gave me that one in a past PIFM - I really liked it too :)

I would say the same--the premise is really odd--hard to believe that one would mascarade as a courtesan and be accepted at balls, etc. as one. Otherwise, I liked the characters and the romance.

It has an odd premise (women pretending to be courtesans), but otherwise I liked the story and really liked the hero and heroine. I've ordered the next in the series. Thanks for the recommendation, Karen!

Thanks for the great picks this month, Brandilyn - I might even fit in another one!

I am so happy that you enjoyed most of the picks.
I know what you mean about The Sea of Tranquility, it is an awesome read. I haven't read Comming Home but will defenetely give it a shot.
I also agree with your comment on Never Too Far, I liked it but it wasn't as good as the first, I think the story moved too fast and lacked in the end.
I don't remember if I mentioned this when I picked Flat-Out-Love for you but I did not like it. Just like you, I figured out the "secret" from the beggining. But so much people love it that I thought you might like it.
I haven't read Painted Faces, but people have recommended it so much that I think it's going to be my next read.
Again, Im really glad you enjoyed your reads!

LOL - I remember thinking the same thing with Zero At The Bone! As you say though, the action kept it interesting...

I had to use that trick with the Audio version of What Binds Us
Glad you enjoyed them

Glad you enjoyed it! This book is one of my favorite romantic suspense books I have read. Lots of action and twists. I plan to continue with the series, too!

Best part of PIFM challenge is discovering new authors. When you decide to read the next one, PM me and I'd be happy to do a buddy read.

To everyone, sorry I haven't updated this challenge lately. Our Internet connection has been flaky for the last week or so and I fell like I am always behind with things. Hopefully it will be better next week when I get back to my computer.

1. I'm so glad you liked it! I agree...I can't believe it's free.
2. I have no idea what you're talking about. *looks around innocently*

Wow, Kat! So glad you liked two more picks :)

Thanks again for the great picks!

I just finished up Candy Man. It was a Halloween short that was ok. Not much to it. I gave it 2 stars. :)
I'm going to try to squeeze a few more of your recs in before the end of the month. I'm on to Storm's Heart now...I'm excited about this one. I really enjoyed Dragon Bound. :)

are you interested in doing a buddy read?

Hey, whoops. completely forgot about that. I just got in from out of town. Sure, I can squeeze this one in this week. I'll send you a message. :)

I finished the next pick for me Mr. Perfect and it was really good. It was a murder mystery but the characters were funny and I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for the pick.
