CHARACTER FACE-OFF GUIDE

Show off your favorite book character by telling everybody how much you love them and why everyone should love them too. If you guys are familiar with the ya-sisterhood's tournaments, it kind of works the same way. You have to stick with your character and watch them battle it out with other book character.

How?

First off, there will be categories.

Female Character (Paranormal)
Female Character (Contemporary)
Male Character (Paranormal)
Male Character (Contemporary)

So for each of the categories, there will be certain discussion threads. And on those discussion threads, you'll have to nominate the book character that you would like to represent. It's a first come first serve basis so if you want to represent your favorite character, you should nominate immediately before someone else could take the character.

After you nominated your character, you'll make a character review of your chosen book character. There is no limit as to how you will be doing your character presentation. You could use photos and gifs, or if you want to quote their dialogues to make the members want to like the character too. The point is that you have to sell your character to everyone. Be creative. You can also write about their abilities, strengths and what makes them better than the other characters.

So what will happen after?

There will be a schedule of two character to face each other off per week. So let's just assume its Daemon and Jace. So we'll be sending everyone a blast that the Face-off has begun and we will be giving them links to the character presentation that you made in our group page and then they will cast their vote. The polls are available The poll will be available from the start of the week and will end Saturday morning. The winner of the face-off for that week will be announced by Sunday. The most number of votes for that week will advance to the next round so on and so forth until all the nominated characters have faced each other.

The person who represented the last character standing will be able to choose an e-book from our e-vault.

SIMPLE REMINDERS:
- for those who are going to be joining, once we make the schedule face-off dates, please submit your Character Presentation two days before your character is scheduled to be presented.

- also no bad-mouthing of other characters. we want to keep the competition healthy and fun. to show off your character, show off their abilities and why they are better but not to the point that you will be bad mouthing the other group.

hmm…okay, this sounds complicated (maybe it isn't) and fun…
can we nominate more than character?
so if we are authors could we nominate characters from our book and another? not sure i would actually DO that, just wondering!
also, if you wanted to nominate a character from a book that would be contemporary/magical realism, would that be contemporary or paranormal?

that's going to be considered as paranormal if it has magical realism to it. You can nominate as much character as you want as long as you will be able to make character presentation from each of them. :)

No you didn't miss it. :)
I'm thinking of starting it 2nd week of March. I'll collect more participants first and then when we have a few more then we'll start it but ready it soon!
