Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments I've found ebook reader websites so useful during promotional giveaways that I've written a blog with tips I've found so far. This includes links to more than 50 sites which invite submissions for free, which ones need a month or two weeks' advance notice, which ones only want to hear on the days of a giveaway etc. Also, how to prepare in the weeks leading up to a promotion. Hope it helps you out. It made a big difference for me using these techniques. More info in the blog post on http://www.adeleward.blogspot.com

Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments There's another post about how to go viral just a couple of posts below this one on my blog. I'd also add that we nearly made a mistake as we aimed for Valentine's Day. It's not good to hold a giveaway on a significant date like that because everybody has the same idea. It's a relief Amazon had trouble with their system and they kept us a day late. I like to do the full 5 days too, and set the book price low to maximise sales when the ebook reverts to price.

Violet Patterson | 15 comments I am working out a promotion for the first in my series and I had been putting a list of sites together so I can do this promo right! I am thinking of doing it in conjunction with an event I am attending in March. I know it is St. Patty's but the extra promo from the fair is too good to pass up!

Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments If you can suggest any additional sites to the ones on the lists I linked to it would be great to know them. Yes, it is tempting to go for significant dates. I like to use the whole 5 days for a giveaway, so that can work with a special day included. Our giveaway after New Year was very successful as people get Kindles and subscribe to Prime at about that time of year, so they want ebooks and Kindle library loans.

If I come across any, I will let you know. I think your list is pretty comprehensive though. Very nicely done. :)

Are there sites promoting or reviewing specific genres? A site for ebook thrillers only, or romance only and so on? Thanks.

Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments There are sites for specific genres. The eBookBooster site I mention in the blog has links to them. There aren't many listed, and this might be because most of the sites actually divide into genre categories. So if you look on some of the sites you can see if they have a category for your genre. They probably do. When you submit your book they ask which genre it is.
