OK, some background.I had already graduated from College in my native country (DR) but when I moved to the US, I was finding it difficult to find a job in my area. I could speak English but just OK and needed some help with my writing. That's when I decided to back to College and take some courses.
It was Summer and I wanted to take two classes, one of them HAD to be Yoga (I just so wanted to take it.) Economics was the only other class that fit the schedule so that's why I took it - I had a full time job so that meant taking classes in the evening.
When I first met him (the first day of class) I thought he was on drugs (he just so energetic that he was jumping on the desk.)
I did my first yoga class yesterday in like six month. I can't believe I've neglected it for so long, it really makes you all gooey and happy xD
Oh phew! I kept thinking that story didn't seem finished and I wanted more details, but thought maybe it was just me
OMG! I'm so sorry!! With all the craziness about GR being sold to Amazon, I totally forgot I hadn't finished posting here. Let me see where I left off.
So that first day besides thinking he must be on drugs, I realized he was an amazing teacher (he must be to make Economics interesting! with pardon to Susanne). He was funny, crazy smart and so knowledgeable! I didn't have a crush on him or anything but I looked forward to the class. So the Yoga class was before his class so sometimes I would get there early and we started to chat. He's the kind of teacher that shares tons of details about his personal life so he told us about his first wife and how he was a widower - when he told us that he had been married for 16 years, I asked him if he got married when he was 12 (he was almost 40 and didn't look his age at all.) Then he started telling us funny stories about his dating life - like the BDSM model who asked him if he liked to be whipped or the one who fell sleep while they were having dinner. They were freaking hilarious!
Believe it or not, I just thought he was a cool guy but didn't feel about him one way or the other. After the class was done, I sent him an email about my grade, told him the class was great and that I hoped he kept me up to date about his dating life.
His response?
If you want to know how my dating life is going, you can go out with me!
I forgive you DG - not everyone appreciate the beauty of Economics xD He sounds really funny, I wish I had had a teacher like that.¨D.G. wrote: "His response?

Priceless!
LOL, that's not all. The subject line of my reply email was: How bad could it be?But then I replied in my email I was on dating sabbatical (he later told me he thought I was nuts) and that I'd go out with him in two weeks. Then we went out, had a great first date - he picked me up at 8pm brought me home at 5am (no hokey pokey...we just went to 4 different bars, LOL!) and we've been together ever since.
When he tells the story, he says I seduced him with tight Yoga outfits and promises of all the different poses I could do (not true. At all.)

OMG, I love the sound of all of that story, D.G! He sounds like he has a fantastic sense of humour!
I came home from university for my mom and dad's annual Hallowe'en party, and went to see my dad's new business location. My now-husband was the one who greeted us at the door and gave us the tour. He had the best handshake when he introduced himself! I remember saying to my roommates (who had come with me for the weekend) that I hoped my dad had invited him to the party. There was something about him that really intrigued me. Luckily, Dad HAD invited him, and we ended up staying awake after everyone else had gone to bed and talking about all kinds of things. Neither of us ever looked back after that! We have been married a year now, and together for five. :) Plus, we're expecting our first baby in October!
