Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 59 comments I've been working on a free story set in the same afterlife as Wander Home. I'm also planning to make my previous novel, Twin-Bred, free wherever I can once the sequel comes out this spring, in a new edition including the beginning of the sequel's first chapter. The idea was to lure readers from the freebies to the still-cheap-as-dirt :-) ebooks. I'm wondering, though: do more than a tiny percentage of those who download free books spend any money, ever, to buy books? Thoughts, experiences?

Melanie Cusick-Jones (melc-j) I've only had a few freebie ones, but my sister does a lot of the 'first one free' then has bought more in the series she's enjoyed.

If it was something I loved on a freebie (and I'd be more likely to 'give it a go' if it sounded good AND was free) then I'd definitely continue the series.

Joanne | 2 comments I get freebies all the time, and then if I like that book I purchase others by that author. I think it's a great way to try a series, especially.
