I noticed in the link you posted most of them have only been shelved once as Mythology Arthurian. Is it a problem if they've only been shelved once? I was interested in reading Ready Player One which happens to be on that list, but don't know enough about it to know if it qualifies.

The "shelved once" isn't an issue - this is just to give you some ideas - it's not a conclusive list, and just because a book is on the list doesn't mean it works. I have read Ready Player One - it's a terrific book, lots of fun, but I don't think it fits the task, even if someone put it on the list.
These listopia lists get weird sometimes - I think that some people, when they really like a book, put it on every list they can find...........

RPO doesn't have that genre in the main page so it wouldn't fit.I think you'll have better luck checking out the Arthurian shelf:
http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/a...
And even then, you'll have to make sure that it has it as a genre on its main page.
As D.G. points out, the first stop needs to be the book's main page, to see if the required genre is listed. If not, it doesn't work.
When I try to use that list, only the first 56 books appear. It says it there are 461 books on the shelf but when I load page 2 it stops at 56 and the remaining pages load blank. Is anyone else having this issue?
Barbara - Instead of clicking next, try to click on the page number. Doing it that way, I was able to see the first 7 pages.

I found one that works (and it is also free as a Kindle edition on Amazon - bonus!). A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark TwainEven if you don't have a kindle, Amazon has a free app that you can download and read the ebooks on your PC.
As someone that doesn't venture into this genre can someone please recommend a couple of books suitable for the newbie ?. If it helps, i've never been overly fond of love stories, quests or battles.Thanking you

Another one I've heard good things about is Guenevere, Queen of the Summer Country.

another one that's long, but I really liked, was The Mists of Avalon. Another I enjoyed was Gwenhwyfar: The White Spirit. And I second Jayme VA's recommendation of The Once and Future King - I've read it more than once!

Does it matter if the book is fiction? For example, could I read one of the books that places King Arthur in the historical context, as long as Mythology->Arthurian appears on the main page?

Non fiction is fine, as long as the genre appears on the main page.

Can I please have Spoil of War: An Arthurian Saga pre-approved before the genre gets knocked off the front page? I will get ebook approval also. :D thanks!
