Lesser Characters ~ Discussion

Now that you mention it Booknut, I also hope Terrin makes an appearance. I wonder how long it's been since they've seen each other? Would their brotherhood be so glorious you wish you had their relationship or would they be distant and awkward because of the knowing title exchange? Would Terrin treat Chaol as someone below him for giving up being 'Lord' for 'Captain of the Guard'?
I feel like further introduction of Terrin would be either quite humorous or scandalous!
And as heartless as it sounds, I feel no sympathy for what happened to Kaltain. Karma, man, what goes around comes around.

Karma indeed - Kaltain was a nasty piece of work :)
And I think it would be even funnier if Terrin was only slightly younger than Chaol. I mean, guys aren't blind to Celaena...and Chaol might get super protective...it would be humorous!!
And Philippa is such a lovely woman. She's like the mother Celaena never had.

Well, when it comes to ToG... I am indeed a crazy shipper, haha. ;)

Ah, haha, got it.
"Crazy Shipper" as in one who sails so fiercely on a certain ship, to the point of outright hatred and/or violence for any other possible ship...the scary ones. ;)
I would say in thing and one thing only to Kaltain Karma is a bitch, like you.

Me Too!!!!!!
Me Too!!!!!!

Now we all know Nox, the handsome competitor in the book that became friends with Celaena.
I'm wondering in the prequels: was he seen or mentioned.
I thought he could of been the masked man at the ball in The Assassin and the Underworld (where She first meets Doneavl) but then he says that he has never left Terrasen (other than for the competition)
Also, how awesome would it be if he had a spin off series!?
My favorite lesser character was Philippa she was hilarious with all her smart remarks. She just totally blends and fits in with the book and the characters personality.
Now speaking of Terrin. What a dramatic twist it would be if she did fall for the wrong Westfall!

When I read The Assassin and the Underworld, I totally got vibes that it was Dorain and Chaol at the ball.
And, I love Nox. (There was a part of me that was secretly hoping him and Celaena would get together) A spin off series would be awesome!

Maybe its just me, but if it was Dorain and Chaol at the ball, i'm hoping there's a reference of it somewhere as the series progresses??!!

I was hoping it was going to be referenced at the ball in Throne of Glass, like they would have a sense of deja vu, but I don't think it happened.
I really hope it is referenced somewhere in the series's future!

Wasn't it referenced in the extra scene for the Throne of Glass paperback book? Dorian and Chaol are talking about the last time Dorian left the castle was to go to a party over a year before, where they didn't realize until much later, that there were assassins and dangerous people there. They mention that no one recognized them because they were wearing masks.

Omg, how have I never heard of this?! Is there somewhere online I can read it?

If you go to amazon.com and use the look inside feature on Throne of Glass, it will give part of that scene. There are two different parts it can give and if you do it twice you'll get the whole thing. I had to sort of read it in parts because it would cut it off, but I eventually got the whole scene read. Its called The Captain and the Prince and its the second to last thing available in the preview. The sneak peak at a scene from Crown of Midnight is the last thing, I believe.

Yeah, Thanx so much! I've read all the additional stuff, but totally missed this scene. And its so great :-)

I think she is a character in the upcoming books, probably book 3 or 4. (unless she is in CoM; haven't read it yet.)

So I was reading Ask Sarah J. Maas and speaking of Nox... :D
Jessica:"I'm looking forward to seeing were Celaena, Dorian and Chaol story goes and especially meeting new characters *cough* Aedion, Eilidh, Rowan, Asterin & Manon*cough* and being reunited with previous characters *cough* Ansel, Arobynn, maybe even Nox??*cough* "
Sarah: Man, I would LOVE for Nox to make an appearance again. I'm trying to find ways to bring him back into the story, but maybe he'll just get his own spinoff novella or something.

I don't think so. It's wouldn't make much sense. He is on a whole other continent with a whole other list of priorities.
I'm assuming he's someone much more significant to Ardalan...ugh, I can never spell this country correctly God!

Oh....well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see!!

Manon and Asterin Blackbeak are cousins. They'll be making their first appearance in Book 3.

Yonehara wrote: "Manon and Asterin Blackbeak are cousins. They'll be making their first appearance in Book 3."
And, if I remember correctly, the Blackbeaks were one of the 3 witch clans in the Ironteeth Alliance!!!

I also like Phillipa, and I really want to have Terrin in it, cause that would be so awesome!
- Hollin, Dorian's ten year-old brother
- Kaltain, the spiteful lady with her sights firmly on Dorian
- Queen Georgina Havilliard
- Duke Perrington
And...not to mention one character who I certainly hope will make an appearance:
- Terrin, Lord of Anielle
For those who don't know, or have forgotten, the title of 'Lord of Anielle' was actually meant to be Chaol's. But, when he became Captain of the Guard, he gave his title to his brother, Terrin. I'd love to see what Chaol is like in an awkward-sibling situation, as well as the personality of his brother compared to him :)
