Jackson moaned and cracked open his eyes slightly, trying to.take in his.surroundings. He saw the blurry outline of objects and he blinked, trying to clear his vision. He looked up and noticed the woman from before was sitting beside him. Why? Did they know each other?

Aria was watching him,then gasped as he woke up. She took his hand quickly "Jackson! I'm so glad you're okay,I didn't think you were going to wake up!"she whispers,tears falling out of her bright blue eyes now as she gazed at him lovingly.
Jackson tried focusing on the woman, trying to figure out who she was. She looked /so/ familiar. "I...I'm sorry, but..." he croaked out, looking at her. "Who...are you...?"
Aria froze and her fingers fell numb,she blinked in confusion. H-he didn't remember her... "I-im your wife...Aria"she whispered moving backwards onto her bed as she brought her knees to her chest. Jackson needed help,he didn't remember! "Adam!"she cried out,tears streaming down her face as she called the paramedic,maybe he could help Jackson.!
A few moments later, Adam came racing in. "What is it? What's wrong?" He looked at Aria, then his gaze fell on a now-awake, obviously confused Jackson.
Aria covered her face as she cried into her hands. "H-he doesn't remember me ..he woke up and he a-asked me w-who I-I w-was"she whispered as got her pillow and wrapped her arms around it. "He didn't even know we were married!"she whispers,looking up at Adam.
Adam glanced between the two before he sighed and approached Aria, giving her a small hug. "Don't worry; he had a head injury. Amnesia is common with head injuries." He glanced at Jackson. "Amnesia various, though; it can be temperary, or..." He trailed off, not wanting to make things worse. He stood up and approached Jackson. He sat down in front of him. "Hello, Jackson. I'm Adam." he said softly. "Can you tell me the what the last thing you remember is?" Jackson furrowed his eyebrows, thinking. "I...just moved here..." he said slowly, as if he was unsure of his answer.
Aria felt her heart break. He didn't remember being in love with her. He only remembered when he barely got here. He forgot all those good memories,they had together. She wiped her eyes before standing next to Adam and looking down at Jackson,warily. "Do you know who I am...or look familiar to you?"she asked,her voice cracking.
Jackson focused his attention back to the woman. He nodded after a moments hesitation. "You...look familiar. But I...I'm sorry, but I don't know who you are..." He looked at her warily, waiting for her reaction.
Aria felt herself crumple as she leaned her head on the bed. She took a breath as her eyes filled with tears. She looked up at him, "I'm Aria,your wife"she says evenly biting her lip,as this time she looked at him for his reaction.
Jackson furrowed his brow again, confused even more. "Wait, I'm married? When did I get married?" He looked at his left hand; a silver wedding ring rested on his ring finger. His eyes widened in shock.
Aria winced,she could feel her world crumbling down. "Yes,you're married to me. You're Jackson Woods and I'm Aria Woods"she says softly taking his hand hesitantly. "We've been married for 3 months."she adds
Jackson's eyes darted between Aria and their hands. "Three months...We've been married for...three months..." He covered his face with his free hand. "How could I...forget something like that...?"
Aria felt her eyes soften a bit. "It's okay,honey. We were in a car accident and you got really scratched up,me too"she says sighing. "B-but I'll help you remember,don't stress yourself out"she whispered soothingly.
Jackson looked up, his eyes full of emotion; the biggest two were sadness and gratefulness. Adam cleared his throat slightly, standing up. "And you know..." he started. "Your memory may come back with time. You just have to be patient." He turned to leave. "I have to get back to work, but if you need anything else, just holler." He left the room. Jackson sat there in silence, not sure of what to say. He glanced at Aria. "We were...in a car accident...?" he finally asked softly.
Aria nodded at Adam gratefully before turning her bright blue eyes back to Jackson. She nodded slowly at his question. "Yeah,we were just coming back from an art gallery,you love art"she says softly,sniffling. "Then a car somehow came in front of us out of nowhere,and we crashed"she explains slowly. "And the car started rolling and I guess you got tumbled around"she says quietly as tears rolled down her face.
He blinked in surprise as she told the story, and as the tears fell, he automatically reached over and wiped them away. He was a little surprised at his actions. "S-sorry..." he mumbled, still trying to comprehend the fact that he was married to Aria. That he was supposed to be in love with her. It all felt new and foreign to him.
Aria blinked and looked up as he wiped away her tears. Her heart fluttered in the way it always did when he would touch her. "I-it's fine,Honey"she murmured softly,squeezing his hand again. "Anything you want to know,so I can tell you?"she asked biting her lip as she wiped her eyes with her free hand. "Do you know anything about me?"she asked.
Jackson studied her for a moment. "...Only the things you've told me; your name is Aria Woods, and you've been married to me for about three months..." His brow furrowed once again. "How long...have we known each other...?" he asked hesitantly. "How much of my memory is gone?"
Aria watched him, "Well,you moved here four years ago, we fell in love and you proposed to me 7 months ago. And in four months we were married"she says biting back a choked sob as she turned away and wiped her tears. "Well,I'm Aria Mackenzie Woods,I'm 21,I love art just like you do. I am absolutely in love with you,even if you don't remember me..I have pictures"she adds getting out her phone and showing him pictures of the two of them at different places,kissing,hugging and holding hands.
Jackson listened as Aria spoke, becoming more and more perplexed by the minute. When she showed him the pictures, his head spun slightly. He felt as though he was looking at somebody else who only /looked/ like him. Suddenly, Aria's earlier words hit him. "W-wait a minute..." he stammered. "Y-you said I moved here four years ago. But I remember moving here only recently. So does that mean...?" He held his forehead with one hand. "Four years..." he whispered hoarsely. "I'm missing four years of my /life/...?"
Aria sniffed and nodded "Im sorry,Jackson"she whispered gently stroking his cheek. "I'll help you remember,baby. I promise,I won't leave you"she adds as she watched him worriedly. She kept showing him different pictures,hoping that it might somehow help his memory.
Jackson took all of this in quietly. Four years. He was missing four years of his life. And despite what Aria said, what if he never remembered? What if those four years remain a huge, empty gap in his memory? The thought unsettled him. After a while, Jackson gently touched Aria's arm. "I'm sorry, but...could we continue this tomorrow?" he asked softly. "I just...need some more time to absorb everything that's happened."
Aria looked down and nodded slightly,pulling away from his bed. "I'm going to get something from the cafeteria...you want something?"she asked as she headed for the door,then leaning across the doorframe to look at him,sadly. She couldn't believe this was happening...Jackon. Her one true love. Didn't remember her. She bit down on her lip,hard so she wouldn't start crying again.
Jackson watched her warily. "No, thank you. I'm good." He had been a little hungry when he first woke up, but finding out that he couldn't remember four years of his life made him lose his appetite.
Aria looked away then slowly nodded "Okay,well I'll be right back"she says her voice cracking as she walked away,shaking her head. She walked through the long narrow hallway to the cafeteria. There were happy faces,and sad faces. Ugh,there was to much chattering of voices,she didn't want to be happy when Jackson couldn't remember her. She sighed and went to the breakfast station,getting an omelet and some orange juice.
Jackson fell back against his pillow. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to remember. Jackson remembered moving to this town. He had been unpacking boxes in his apartment. He had just put his clothes away and gone for a walk. And then...Nothing. He couldn't remember anything after that. His head throbbed painfully. He knew his memories were just out of grasp, but when he reached for them, they slipped out of his grasp, teasing him. Taunting him.
Aria had ended up getting an omelet and some coffee for Jackson. Because she knew he loved it....or well....used too. She sighed as she walked back to the room and set the food on the little table,in between their beds. "I got you something...just in case"she adds biting her lip.
Jackson opened his eyes at the sound of Aria's voice. He blinked in surprise at the omelet and coffee; two of his favorite things. He looked at Aria again and nodded. "Thank you...Aria." he said softly.
Aria gave a tiny smile "No problem"she whispered as she climbed back into her hospital bed,closing her eyes for a moment. She sniffled slightly "You still like omelet and coffee right,?"she asked opening her eyes to look at him.
Jackson hesitated before he nodded. "Y-yeah...It's always been my favorite breakfast..." he said quietly. He studied his hands, not sure of what else to say.
Aria shuddered and nodded "Yeah I know"she said quietly. "You should rest Jackson,maybe you'll get your memory back"she says in a hopeful tone as she chewed on her lip watching him.
Jackson sighed softly; he highly doubted it, but you never knew. "Yeah...Alright." He lay back against his pillows again and closed his eyes. He hadn't realized how tired he had been until he felt himself slipping into a deep sleep
Aria watched him fall asleep before finally allowing herself to start crying again. Why did this have to happen to them,they hadn't done anything to deserve this! She wiped at her eyes as she sniffled and walked over gently stroking his cheek,she knew he loved when she did that,but who knew now?
Jackson mumbled something incoherent in his sleep and he turned his face away. He wanted to turn to sleep on his side, but the casts on his right arm and left leg kept him in place on his back. He mumbled in his sleep again.
Aria sighed as he pulled away,her heart was breaking,but she tried not to let it show. She walked out and leaned against the doorframe of their hospital room,watching all the paramedics rush around hurriedly. She sighed quietly running a hand through her messy brow hair.
Adam walked past their room, looking back at Aria. He paused. "Doing alright?" he asked softly, eyes gentle and full of sympathy.
((I meant brown not brow LOL))Aria looked up and took her hand away from her brown hair. She shrugged, "I just can't believe this happened to us"she says quietly,rubbing her eyes. "Why did this have to happen?"she asked looking up at him warily.
(Haha, I kinda figured. X))Adam sighed and walked over, gently patting her shoulder. "I don't know. Sometimes bad things just happen." His eyes were sad, but he gave a small smile. "I'm sure he'll get his memory back. Don't worry."
Aria nodded,leaning into his touch without thinking. "Yeah,I'm hoping he will."she says softly biting her lip. She looked up at him with a sigh, "How long is your shift here?"she suddenly asked. She felt like he was the only person she could trust here. The only good paramedic.
Adam looked at the clock. "I'm actually clocking out now. Been here since about eight this morning." He rubbed his eyes tiredly. He smiled softly. "But if you need someone to talk to, I'm all yours."
Aria watched him warily,and blinked when he rubbed his eyes tiredly. She shook her head,smiling "It's okay,Adam. You should go back you your ..wife. I'll talk to you when you come back,okay?"she asked rubbing her eyes as she looked up at him,with sad eyes.
Adam sighed and smiled sadly, shaking his head. "It's alright. I don't have anyone else I have to get back to, so if you want some company..." He leaned against the wall, crossing his arms.
Aria was surprised when he said he didn't have a wife. She bit her lip then nodded as she pulled him inside the room,and sitting on her bed. "Well,first. W-what if he never remembers me? How much of a chance is their that it's permanent?"she asked frowning as she licked her lips,brining her knees to her chest and looking at him from there.
Adam sat down in a chair at the foot of Aria's bed. "It's hard to tell..." Adam said slowly. "Amnesia's a tricky thing. Now, I'm not a doctor, but I'm around enough of them enough to pick up a thing or two..." He looked at Jackson's sleeping form, then back to Aria. "I wish I could tell you that your husband will get his memory back quickly, but I don't want to get your hopes up. I just want you to know that...there's always a chance that he may...never get his memories back..." he finished quietly.
Aria's eyes widened and she shuddered in fear. "Oh gosh"she whispered covering her face. "Do you think he's going to get his memory back? Or not?"she asked softly peeking at him from his hands. "Answer honestly"she added taking a deep breath.
Adam sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He glanced at the sleeping form of Jackson. "To be honest...I don't know. He lost four years worth of memories..." He trailed off and put his chin in his hand, thinking deeply.
Aria sighed and nodded "I get it"she says biting her lip. She looked at Jackson then turned her gaze back to Adam. "I feel like im talking too much about myself..tell me about you"she says,just wanting a distraction from everything that had happened.
Adam raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Myself? I...I'm not that interesting, believe me. I'm one of the most boring people out there." He chuckled light-heartedly.
Aria smiled warmly,and rolled her eyes happily. "C'mon,Adam. I'm sure you aren't boring at all"she says laughing softly. "Just tell me whatever you want,how long have you been in this town.....Tell me anything"she says shrugging as she laid down backwards ,watching Adam curiously.
