My travel book is to be released by Robert Hale in July. All Along the River; Tales from the Thames is a mixture of humour, social history and folklore. It even includes some recipes. It was an absolute joy to write. My partner Rob took lots of the pictures but there are also many historical images. The book evolved from our exploration of the Thames Path, from source to sea. Good luck with your Thames book, Pauline. We tend to think of travel writing as being about far-off and exotic places but exploring home can be just as interesting.

Yes, although of course to me as an Australian the Thames WAS very far-off and, well perhaps not exotic but certainly very exciting!
