Cindi (cindinj) | 2 comments I have had the Kindle app on my Droid for quite some time with no problems. A few months ago, not sure if there was an update or what, but I can no longer get it to work, or if it does start up it will force-close. I've tried uninstalling/re-installing to no avail. Has anyone else had problems and, if so, how were you able to resolve?

Scot I have the kindle app on my phone with the same issue and it will sometimes work (about 50% of the time) if I free up ram on my phone right before I try to use the kindle app. You can find small apps that can do this. The one I choose has a widget that I have right next to the icon for the kindle app. I would love to hear if there is a better and more consistent fix myself.

Scot I also have it on a Droid. This might be the problem.

Deborah aka Reading Mom (dsc1105) | 5 comments I have had the Kindle app on my Droid for a couple of months--no problems so far. I keep everything in archives and download 1 book at a time as I want to read them

Betsy Is Droid a brand of Android phone? I have Kindle apps on my Samsung phone and my Asus tablet, both Android, with no problems.

Cindi (cindinj) | 2 comments Yes, Betsy, the Droid is a smartphone made by Motorola.

Syahira hmm.. have you upgraded your os? I find I have more problem with a bunch of ebook apps on honeycomb than on icecream sandwich.

Shaina (shainaeg) If you're talking about the original Droid I'm not surprised, that phone came out in 2009 and hasn't had an OS update in many years. I have a Samsung Galaxy 3S with over 200 kindle books downloaded on it and it works fine. The older the phone and the older the OS the more likely it'll have problems.
