E.J. (ejschoenborn) Name: Henry Phillip Bordeau
Nickname "The Ring"

Gender: Male

Grade and Age: 18, Senior
Date of Birth 1/13/1995 "Friday the 13th"

Appearance:
Hair Color Dark Brown, near black
Eye ColorDark brown
Body Type Well-Built but not "ogre-ish" in size. Like a runner's build with more muscle.

Distinctive Feature:
-He has severe burn scars on his shoulders and back. No pain, but still scarred.
-His classic set of rings... you can find these same impressions on his enemies, usually in the form of bruises. Each ring has its own story to go along with it.
(view spoiler)

History: Henry was born to Laura Schatterby and the husband she met in France. Henry doesn't like to name him, not because he doesn't love him, but because of what happened later in his life. His father worked as a sports manager and his mother worked in a cosmetics department as a make-up artist. Yes, an ARTIST of MAKEUP. She had supermodels and hot bods all around her every day! When Henry was 8, his sister was born. Once again, he prefers not to remember her name, but he believes it was Lily or Luz or something like that. Something sweet and kind and...
getting off track here. He doesn't like to remember her name or much about her. It only brings pain.

Anyway, let's discuss how he got his first ring at 14 - it was silver and looked like pipes and it had a black onyx gem center. After he was accepted into St. Peters for his athletic achievements combined with his intellectual scoring, his leadership achievements, and his witty charm during the interview portion. His father bought him the ring to show that his son was tough and strong (and maybe to show the other kids that they had just as much money as them). Henry loved the ring.

His second ring comes after the traumatic point in his history. A fire started at his house during the middle of the night in December. The police finally decided that it was a wiring problem, but there was no one to sue or blame since the man who built it had already died. It was just a freak accident. The fire spread quickly from the living room it started in. It hit his parent's room first; his dad who was closest to the door burned alive and his wife got third degree burns on her face before she was able to leap out the window and burrow her face in a snow drift. Henry woke up after he smelled smoke; why hadn't the alarms gone off?! He assumed his parents had already either gone outside or grabbed his sister, but he wanted to check on her to make sure. Her door was locked. After he kicked it for the third time, he was able to get in and grab her before hurtling out the window. It was too late for her though. Her young lungs couldn't take the smoke and she died from smoke inhalation. "At least she went peacefully," that's what the paramedics told him to make him feel better. To know that she didn't suffer. He would rather be told that she was fine, that she would be home baking cookies with his mom tomorrow instead of lying in a hospital morgue while his mother was in intensive care. That was when he fainted next to the ambulance. He didn't even realize he had started on fire before he entered his sister's room, only to be put out by the snow outside. A nurse gave him his second ring actually. The skeletal intertwined hands. Two of them, one for each of the loved ones he had lost. How fitting, how tragic, how evil of the nurse to give such a thing, but it was all out of the love in her heart so he kept it... a reminder of those he had lost along the way.

His third ring is probably the least sentimental and emtotional of his rings. He got it the last year at the school. He was fighting some thug when the guy's ring came off; to show that he had won, he took it. A dragon that looped around his finger. He decided to keep it on the opposite hand of the other rings. It was still kind of emotional for him; it was his first underground fistfight that he had won.

Location:New York City, St. Peter's Academy

Family: His father and sister died in the fire. Doesn't want to remember their names.
His mother, Laura, has severe burns along the left of her face, and works as a telephone salesman for cosmetic companies.

Personality:
Before the fire
The first thing you noticed about him was his wide, beaming smile that flashed in the light and just made you want to smile too. The second thing you noticed were how his eyes shined with energy and power and caring. Then you saw the preppy clothes and school uniform and realized that he must be in private school, probably that AMAZING one in New York City. St Peters or something?
Isn't he just marvelous?
He went out for the plays (even the musicals although he couldn't sing for his life!), he was involved in clubs; heck, he even took a sewing class once! After school, he had practice for some sport or another: baseball, cross country, track and field... mostly running for some reason.
He was always running for some reason. Running for class officer (President, of course), running for club leaders, running for management positions at work and school...
he was always running to something.

After the Fire
Something changed in him after his sister died. The first thing you noticed about him now were the lines on his face. They're smile wrinkle lines, but on his face it just looks haunted and scary like a ghost had once lived in his body and gave them to him. The second thing you noticed was that he never smiled with his teeth anymore. He never showed them off if he could, although they still flashed in the light. Then you noticed the rings on his fingers that glinted in the light.
He was still running, thank goodness. He did great in his running sports still.
But he didn't seem to be running to a goal anymore, he was running away. We don't know what, but he always seemed to be running away...

(Likes)
♥ Fist Fights. He particularly enjoys these because they allow him to vent his rage and fury and frustration and sadness in a "positive" way. Well, it's positive in his eyes.
♥ Water and anything water-related including pools, oceans, lakes, puddles, and rain. He especially loves to go for walks when it's storming out; he finds it more peaceful than blistering heatwaves.
♥ Winning. Okay, maybe this is a given because everyone enjoys winning, but Henry likes it a little bit more than others.

Dislikes
○ Fire. This is the thing he hates the most. He won't like go on a Frankstein-Monster rampage and flee from fire or destroy it, but he'll try to convince you from lighting a match or starting a bonfire. There's good reason for this.
○ Smoking and Drugs. This may also tie into the fire business, but it also has a deeper meaning in his mind. People who do drugs are slower and weaker; he isn't weak or slow so he can't do those things. If he does them, he might not win.
○People he defines as "Other". Those quirky odd kids who just sort of ripple the pond. You know... like those new kids at the school. Yeah. He doesn't like them.

Strengths
◘ He is strong and fast from the variety of sports he does and the workout regimen he keeps. He eats healthily as much as possible and takes vitamins every morning.
◘ He is clever, cunning, and intelligent. This combined with his strength and speed make him a formidable foe or ally. He uses these mental strengths to tear down his competition or usurpers and cripple them or find their weakness(es).
◘ He's merciless. Even if you are down and in pain and know that you lost, he might still continue to beat you.

Weaknesses
▼ His mercilessness is also his weakness because after beating them even more, his friends sometimes fear his "personality" and edge away from him for a time. They always come back (wouldn't you?) either out of fear or respect is unknown.
▼ He has a bit of a temper as can be seen by his merciless behavior. If you want to make him rash and do something stupid, piss him off.
▼ Small Children, especially little girls. His sister was around the age of six when she died and that is the time he remembers and has engrained in his memory of her.

Object of Special Value: Each of his rings.

Other: He keeps his rings on during fights to brand the loser with the distinct markings of his rings.

Name: Devon Leigh Roland
Nickname: Dev

Gender: Female

Grade and Age: Senior; 18
Date of Birth: February 17

Appearance:

Devon’s inner, happy personality is obvious through her outer beauty. She has long, red hair that cascades down her shoulders in loose waves, before stopping at the small of her back. Her emerald green eyes are usually lit with warmth and happiness, or on occasion, fury and rage. Being as she is a natural red head Devon has a pale, creamy, porcelain-like complexion that is unblemished other than the light dusting of freckles along the bridge of her button nose. She has high, angular cheek bones that her long lashes cast shadows on. Devon has full, light pink lips that when turned up into a smile will show her one dimple on her right cheek. She is around average height for someone her age, standing at 5’7” with long, wiry limbs.

Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Emerald Green
Body Type: Slim/Petite
Distinctive Feature:

History: Devon was born into a political family with her father, Jefferson, being the senator of New York. Her father was a well liked man among the people of his state and had friends in high places, it was never a surprise whenever he got re-elected. Devon’s father had a special charm to him that made it quite easy to win people over. Her mother, Diana, was the picture perfect wife; she always wore the most stylish and sophisticated clothes of the season, she threw the biggest parties of the year and was always at her husband’s side with a perfect smile plastered onto her ageless (thanks to botox) face. Then there was Devon’s older brother, Charlie, he was your typical all-American boy who played baseball and football as well as had a high GPA and to top it all off, he was handsome with blonde hair and blue eyes to match his parents’. Finally, there was the baby of the family, Devon; she was always the odd one out in family photos as she didn’t have the same blonde hair and blue eyes as the rest of them; she’d gotten her red hair and green eyes from her grandparents. That fact alone had rumors spreading about her mother having an affair; even Jefferson was suspicious of her being his true daughter and demanded a paternity test. When it was proven that Devon was in fact her father’s daughter the results of the paternity test were “leaked” to several magazine companies; stopping the rumors for good. Devon’s parents demanded much of their children, they didn’t just want good grades and lots of extracurricular activities, they wanted them to be perfect. The Rolands were always in the spot light and Charlie and Devon had to play the roles of the doting, perfect little angels when they were anything but. Devon was put into dance, piano, flute and French lessons when she was merely five years old; as she grew older she was forced into even more. By the time she was thirteen she was fluent in French, Russian and Spanish, played piano and flute like a professional, could sing any church hymn you gave her, act as well as any Broadway star and dance like a prima ballerina. And to add onto her long list of accomplishments, she was a child genius; it was no surprise when she got accepted into the prestigious St. Peter’s Academy which she hadn’t even known she’d applied to. Her parents constantly bragged about her and would randomly ask her to sing or dance at banquets just so they could show her off, to them she wasn’t their child, she was an object that they owned. Devon knew her parents had little to no true affection for her or her brother, but that never stopped her from loving them entirely.

Her brother had also attended St. Peter’s Academy but he had already graduated by the time she started, and much to their parent’s dismay, went into the military rather than going to college to become a business man or politician. Her brother had always been the more rebellious of the two and would go against their parents when Devon was always too scared to. When he left for the military Devon was alone, her brother was no longer there to stand up for her. Devon was pushed to the limit by her parents; if she wasn’t in school, she was home studying, at a lesson for something, at a political party, at some extracurricular activity, or home in bed. She never did anything for herself, even her friends were handpicked by her parents and she couldn’t stand them half the time. It was no surprise that her first boyfriend at the age of fifteen was also chosen by her parents; he was the son of some big business tycoon. At first she went out with the boy, Dylan, reluctantly, but over time they got to know each other and she learned a lot about him and realized he was just like her with his parents making all his decisions. Several months after turning sixteen, and dating Dylan for over a year, she learned she was pregnant. Devon had never been so scared in her whole life and she’d never felt so alone, she had no one she could tell; her friends were never truly her friends, her brother was in the middle of a war and she didn’t want to worry him, and her parents would force her to have an abortion before the media could find out about the huge scandal. It took two weeks before she found the guts to tell Dylan, surprisingly enough, he was thrilled by the news. They both agreed to keep quiet about the whole thing till it was obvious and they could no longer hide it from their parents and everybody else. Dylan would go with her whenever she went to the doctor’s office and thanks to doctor-patient confidentiality, they didn’t need to worry about the doctor informing their parents. It took a little while but Devon grew to like the idea of having a baby, sure, she was still scared and had no idea how to do anything motherly, but she was still happy and excited. About two months into the pregnancy when she went to see the doctor with Dylan, she learned that she had had a miscarriage. The news was heartbreaking and when she got home she burst into tears, telling her parents everything, not caring how they would react to the news at all. Her parents had done exactly what she expected, they didn’t comfort her in her time of despair, they simply said “at least the baby was gone.” Nobody but the doctor, her parents and Dylan ever knew about her pregnancy; her parents made sure of that.

Devon had never felt so sad before, but she thought that at least she still had Dylan, oh how wrong she was. She didn’t see Dylan for weeks till finally he showed up at her house, drunk. He started screaming and ranting about how it was all her fault, that she hadn’t wanted the baby and somehow caused the miscarriage to happen. His words hurt her but she kept reminding herself that he was drunk and hurting so she did her best to ignore what he said as she tried to get him into bed so he could sleep off the alcohol. She finally got him to go to sleep and she laid next to him, glad that he was there even after all he’d said “it was just the alcohol talking” she kept telling herself. The next morning she woke up first, she just stayed there, staring at Dylan’s sleeping face for who knows how long till his eyes fluttered open. She offered him a warm, love filled smile only for him to look at her with pure hatred and disgust in his eyes; it was then she realized that even though he had been drunk, he’d meant every word he said. Dylan said seven words that completely shattered what was left of her heart, “I never want to see you again,” then he was gone. Devon didn’t cry, she’d used up all her tears, but that was all it took for depression to take over. She was shell of her old self for months, just acting, never truly seeing or feeling. She faked a smile when necessary but otherwise, she just wore a completely blank expression. It wasn’t till she turned seventeen and Dylan somehow wound up at St. Peter’s Academy that she truly started feeling any emotion at all, and that was hatred. She hated him. She hated how he blamed her for the loss of their baby. She hated him for how he thought he was the only one that had lost something, that he was the only one hurting. She hated him for leaving her when she needed him. They avoided each other like the plague but she could always feel his cold eyes watching her, glaring holes into her back. It took some time but she soon realized that he was fine, Dylan was the same old Dylan, the loss of their child hadn’t changed him, that only made her hate him even more. It took seeing that Dylan was fine to pull her out of her stupor, she wasn’t going to be some depressed girl and show him how destroyed she truly was, she was going to get better and she was going to show him that she was fine too. At first, it was all an act but soon the act became reality, she was getting better, she was smiling for real. After everything she had been through she finally got the courage to stand up for herself, she rebelled against her parents and started doing what she wanted, being friends with who she wanted and for once in her life, she was happy. She still had a deep sadness in her but her new found happiness pushed it away and she finally lived her life, her way.

Personality: Devon is a fun loving kind of girl that lives by the saying “forgive and forget.” In her opinion life is far too short to hold grudges against people, so while she may stay mad at someone for a few hours she will usually get over it, but it does depend on the situation since she can be slightly childish and stubborn on occasion. Devon loves to have fun, but she is always responsible; making sure that if she drinks she has people around that she trusts and that there is a designated driver ect. Devon can usually get along with anybody and everybody, no matter how rude or conceited they may be, she always looks for the good parts of them. Not only does she get along with and like everybody but others seem to like her too. She just has a warm, welcoming aura to her that people automatically grow to like. She is a very optimistic sort of person and is always hoping and expecting the best, usually to only wind up disappointed. If you end up hurting or disappointing her you’ll probably find yourself feeling guiltier than you’ve ever felt. The saying “eyes are the doorway to the soul” fits Devon perfectly; you can see almost all her emotions flash through her eyes, so when you see the deep sadness she feels from you hurting/disappointing her you will probably hate yourself. Surprisingly enough, Devon gets angry pretty quickly or at least irritated. It doesn’t take much to get her to snap, but unfortunately for her, she is more adorable than scary when she is mad. She’ll look like an angry kitten rather than the lioness she is trying to come off as and most will just smile and nod while others will go as far as to pinch her cheeks and say something along the lines of “awww, is the little kitten angry?”

Thanks to her past, Devon will always have a lingering sadness in her eyes that no matter how happy she is will always remain there, but you’ve got to be very observant to notice it. Also thanks to her past, Devon has learned to never let people walk all over her again. She will not stand for anybody who tries to tell her what to do or treat her like she is an object, and unless you want to end up with a very angry red head trying to rip your head off, I’d recommend never demanding anything of her. The only person who will ever get away with treating her like she is nothing will be Dylan, seeing as he is her one main weakness (other than the pregnancy). She still doesn’t have the courage to go and tell him how much she hates him for how he treated her and finds it best to just stay away from him since she knows that while she can go up against someone twice her size, the second Dylan says something, she won’t fight back and his words will hurt her. Devon had once been a naïve girl that would have trusted everyone and everything people said, but after having her heart broken by the love of her life, losing something she never got the chance to love, having her parents treat her like an object and show her no love; she is too fragile to go around trusting everybody. She may be friends with everybody but she has never truly opened herself up to anybody else, she is too scared of being broken again. And though she get along with everyone there is one group of people Devon has never been able to find the good in, and that would be bullies; she absolutely despises them and will defend anybody she sees being verbally or physically abused.

Devon is a very outgoing sort of person and has no problem going up to random strangers and having a conversation with them, she honestly lacks the ability to feel embarrassed. She is also the type of person who will just randomly think of something funny and fall into a fit of laughter and not stop still she is crying from laughing so hard and her stomach hurts. She has a smile that is contagious and honestly, she is just fun to be around. Devon isn’t a girly girl, she has nothing against girls that are very…feminine, but she isn’t the type to obsess over her looks, boys and she definitely isn’t one to flirt or…giggle *shiver* she can’t stand the sound of a giggle, unless it comes from a child. Ah, yes, children. Devon absolutely loves children, she feels even sadder when she sees little kids but she pushes through it just to spend some time with kids, hence why she works as a babysitter even though she doesn’t need the money. Though Devon has finally gone against her parents, she still does most of the same extracurriculars because she enjoys much of it and she will never give something she likes up just to spite her parents, but she doesn’t work as hard as she was once forced to, she gives herself time to relax and simply sit down with a good book. Though Devon is a huge talker she is also a good listener, and even though she isn’t the best at giving advice, she will always listen and never judge you. Devon may have a sad past that she will never forget, not that she wants to, but it has taught her that not everybody is what they seem, happiness can be gone in an instant, and life is too short to let others control you.

History: Sarah was actually born in Europe and lived in France till she was three. Her father was a major CEO of a banking company. His buisness required her family to go to New York for the new branch that her father runs. This brought a more busier richer life, which Sarah was totally for. By the age of 8, she knew how to ride a horse, speak French and English, and play piano with violin.

Sarah Goodale majored in the Arts, growing up, becoming a social butterfly. She went to a normal middle school, becoming fast friends with Liviana Valeria earlier in their childhood. Sarah noticed something wrong with Liviana in their 8th year. She learned along with Liviana what she was, a Soulreader. Sarah thought this was totally kickass as she helped Liviana get better with it. She was very determined and this showed in other things as she got council spots in the school, and became well known with her friend.

Learning about Liviana's Uncle attempt to send Liviana to St. Peters, she realized that Liviana would be alone. Knowing Jai, she finally went to her father with a charade of how she had seen that she was ready for a big step. Her parents, ecstatic helped her put together all her talents and accomplishments. She got in easily, being a golden student. Sarah's teachers even learned about the application and called in their uninvited recommendations. This was surely a sign that Sarah Goodale was meant for it.

Ever since she came to the academy, she excels in her studies, working hard and studying just like her father.

Remember how I said she was crazy? Well, here's her ongoing craziness. She goes on completely weird adventures. From diets to shopping. She loves to try new things and will always give it a chance, but like her father, she can be impatient and just simply give up.

Sarah is very protective of her friends, Liviana and others. She has high self-esteem and won't take no shit from nobody, especially when it comes to her weight. She's the one you can always count on, no matter what. Megan (nightrunner) Name: Margret Deveroux
(Nickname) Maggie

Gender: Female

Grade and Age: 10th, 15
(Date of Birth) October 23rd

Appearance: description
(Hair Color)Brown
(Eye Color) blue/gray
(Body Type) skinny, aline, no real curves.

Distinctive Feature: Nothing extremely obvious in image, but she has a slight French accent that is often used to identify her around cornors or behind doors when eaves dropping.

History: Maggie was born in France, Paris actualy. Her parents kind of left her there and she ended up in an orphanage for three years, until her uncle put out a search for her and found her, taking her back to his loft in New York City. When she arrived in New York, Maggie was emaciated, severely. She looked to have survived a death camp, leading to her almost permenate thinness.

Once in New York, Maggie's life changed drmatically. She got almost anything she wanted, but she didn't really want much. All she ever wanted was clothes and books. She was an avid reader from the start, once she learned to read, she couldn't get enough. This in part, led to Maggie's advanced academic skills and vast understanding of history around the world.

Maggie was accepted to St. Peters Academy when she was 14. She came from a different private school in the city, and was invited to be a prospective student. Her language skills and academic excellence madde the administrative team offer her a place at St. Peters, as well as the generous check her uncle gave the school. Maggie also has a photographic memory. She remebers everything she sees and hears, sometimes with more clarity then when it first occured. Not many people are aware of this though. She doesn't exactly broadcast it.

Location: St. Peters, NYC

Family: Uncle in NYC who she llives with, her bio parents are now deceased.

Personality: Maggie is complex. She has a couple different personalities. I'll group them into three basic groups, alone, with teachers, and with friends.

Alone, Maggie is very quiet and reserved. There are a lot of things she doesn't like that much that she puts up with everyday. Beyond the cool demenor and sarcastic things she normal does. She has a lot of problems with herself, most of them steming from the fact that she was totally unwanted as a child. She also has a lot of secrets and is haunted by things that she's seen or heard in her life. She remembers her parents faces, and often thinks she sees them in everyday life, but her uncle informed her that they were dead long ago, and she believes him.

Around teachers, Maggie is really polite, if sometimes a little sarcastic. Her teachers don't really mind though, after all, she's almost always the best student in the class, especially with the whole photographic memory thing. Teachers often ask her to do extra credit projects or ask her advice on things, but she rarely agrees unless it's something she might actually enjoy having to remember for the rest of her life. She rarely like her teachers either, but she acts like their the most interesting, best people in the world.

Around her friends Maggie does a full 180. She is snarky, sarcastic, likes to swear off the wall, sometimes even creatively. She is honest, brutally so, and is an expert at changing the subject. She likes to party now and then, but isn't really a party girl, and normally if she's in a relationship, it ends badly. Most people either love her, or hate her guts. She doesn't really care what category you end up falling under. She could give a crap, but she doesn't feel like putting out the effort.

(Likes) - Musicals (sercretly)
- books
- arguing points with people, because she pretty much always wins.
(Dislikes)
-liars, she always find out at some point.
-school work. She knows it all after reading it once, stop it with the worksheets!
-kids movies, whenever asked, she responds "shoot me!"
(Strengths)
-music
-knowledge
-memorizing anything
(Weaknesses)
-forgiving people
-not being sarcastic
-picks fights a lot.

Object of Special Value: Nothing really.

Other: Anything else? Not yet, I'll keep her updated though.
