I don't enjoy many books but I thought this was a very good book. It went into racial differences that are important to know and understand when traveling or moving to a new place. Biss moved around all the time. She always felt like she had to act and treat people differently throughout her journey because she was aware of these racial and cultural differences. This book not only had facts about racial and cultural disputes, but showed racism has come a long way but still has a long way to go. I liked how this book was written differently from most books. The chapters or essays were all broken up into different stories. I would recommend reading this book.
