Afraid to delete this book without permission

I am the publisher of American Society: What Poets See, ed. by David Chorlton and Robert S. King.

I just discovered that somebody else has added this book and it now shows that he is the author of the book, which is not correct: American Society: What Poets See.

I want to completely delete the "edition" that is shown in error, but the last time (as a librarian) I attempted to delete a book I got slapped for it.

Can you please advise?

Merged into correct edition.

Edit the details to make yourself the primary author then delete what you added... or merge the two, after editing the data.
