Jenny (gielske) | 8 comments I'm about to start re-reading the farseer, liveship, tawny man and rain wild books in preparation for the bod release. Anyone who would like to join me in this venture? And discuss it along the way?? This topic will be the place

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 11 comments I'm not able to reread at this time...but I'll definitely check in on the discussion.
I'm reading another series, that I'm in for the long haul.
:)

Steven Barras I have just finished re-reading the series due to the new book coming out but I finished the 3rd book in The Rain Wild Chronicles a little earlier than u expected and I am currently reading something else but I could let you know when I start reading her latest work and discuss it with you then?

Jenny (gielske) | 8 comments I had the same problem. was going for the audiobooks but finished 2 or 3 days ago. Choose to read the bod epub rather than wait for weeks... Now I'm finished but letting it sink in for a night before commenting...

message 5: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Ok, let me know what you think (no spoilers) :-)

message 6: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (gielske) | 8 comments Well without spoilers... I have mixed feelings... I like the book as a realm of the elderlings book. I like the storylines, interactions, etc.. But... It doesn't feel like the closing of the overall story I was hoping for.

However I have a strong preference for long series and with the four separate series hobbs isn't exactly the same though I think of it as 1 story. So maybe my view is screwed...

Steven Barras I had a feeling that she wouldn't tie up all the loose ends. Hopefully leaving space for a continuation of the series. I have heard that she US planning a prequel to the series set in The Six Duchies at the time of the Piebald Prince.

Thats one thing I love about her books, they all tie in with each other. All set in the same world with recurring characters throughout.

The book you're talking about, Steven, is called The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince and it tells the tale of the Piebald Prince, often mentioned in the Assassin trilogy.

Michael Lavin | 16 comments Now dont all Jump on me at once but oddly enough I read the Farseer trilogy and Then the Tawny Man trilogy but not the other to in the series. I followed the FOOL and Fitz. Liveship and Rain wilds are the other two series??? did i miss out by not reading these two series. I enjoy Robin so im sure there good books but i had alot going on at time. Now might go back and read those two BUT it would have to be worth it im into two other series that are good. Only just joined so take it easy! I know im a Fool but not a Golden one!

Jenny (gielske) | 8 comments ***small spoiler***

It explains the bingtown visitors and where the fool got the gold to become the golden fool, for one... Or is that two?

message 11: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Sini.
Thanks, I'll have to look for that.

message 12: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Michael.
you really have missed a lot. you need to read the trilogies in order to make sense of them. 1 Farseer, 2 Liveship, 3 Fool, 4 Rain Wild.

message 13: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Jenny.
I assumed the fool/amber got the gold from the horde that Paragon led Althea and Brashen too?

message 14: by Michael (new)

Michael Lavin | 16 comments THanks steven it will be put into rotation

message 15: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Just started reading the last book BOD. Read the first couple of chapters. Looking good.

message 16: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (gielske) | 8 comments So its explained in the liveships...

message 17: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras no it's not explained. I just assumed that, that was where he got his newfound wealth.

message 18: by Steven (new)

Steven Barras Finished reading BOD. Surely there has to be more books set in Kelsingra/Chalced. Robin can't leave it like that!?
