I'm a bit OCD; if I stack up books or DVDs, the edges have to be lined up. I also hate the color yellow, except on classic cars. I hate long sleeved shirts that have tight sleeves; and I hate wearing shoes and socks, so in the summer, barefoot baby!!!!
I hate shoes tha confine my toes from wiggling. l ol I don't actually hate them, i just take them off as soon as I can so my toes are free to wiggle all they want - and they want!
Ashton wrote: "Water. I gulp down galons of water in the summer. Sometimes I like to drink straight from the tap with cupped hands. I know it does not make sense because water has no taste, but to me it is so ..."good job - keep it up
Ashton wrote: "Water. I gulp down galons of water in the summer. Sometimes I like to drink straight from the tap with cupped hands. I know it does not make sense because water has no taste, but to me it is so ..."It gets slight, lovely metallic taste from the pipes I think. When I was little I loved the taste of water from a garden hose that was warm from sitting in the sun.
When I order/bake pies I eat the crust and the bottom of the pie first. I usually eat very little of the filling. My pies always end up without a crust cuz I go back for more..drives people in my house crazy, cuz the end up having to eat crustless pie.
I can not stand the smell of coffee. It makes me so uncomfortable. Even when I can smell it on someone's breathe. And that is another thing I can't stand is people breathing on me.

When I bake pies I roll out the extra crust and put cinnamon and sugar on it and bake it. It's delicious!

That's funny. I am exactly the opposite. When I smell coffee in the morning it makes me want breakfast. Haha

I used to live near the factory where they made Nescafe coffee. Everyday when you went outside, it smelled like fresh brewed coffee. I loved it!
I leave the last bite of my food. Almost every time. I can eat three plates or one plate but I always leave one bite
April wrote: "I leave the last bite of my food. Almost every time. I can eat three plates or one plate but I always leave one bite"I have to do that with a sandwich. Even if I am still hungry, I have to leave a piece of the bread, roll or wrap.
I can't eat sweet stuff for breakfast so if I want pancakes or waffles I eat them for dinner. I also don't like the taste of real maple syrup so I eat the sugar free stuff.
I'm not a vegetarian nor my family, but when I was still a little girl my mother will never let me leave the dinner table unless I finished all those greens leaves she has cooked for me. And I had fresh fruits instead of icecream for deserts. Thanks to her, I MUST have vegetables in my meals! And I'm fine munching on watermelon afterwards.
Whenever friends ask me how did I maintain my healthy diet, I told them that they should live with my mother.
I have no idea why I even do it. I just notice that I do...weird. :) Glad to see that I am not the only one. :)
Janessa wrote: "I can not stand the smell of coffee. It makes me so uncomfortable. Even when I can smell it on someone's breathe. And that is another thing I can't stand is people breathing on me."I'm opposite. I love the smell of coffee but never could stomach the taste.
Not at all. When I think sissy or girly drinks I think frothy like a Brandy Alexander or a Sex on the Beach. Gin and orange juice sounds yummy to me.Gin is manly, puts hair on your chest
:-P
Jac wrote: "It's a bit "sissy" right? I ought to have a "manly" Scotch on the rocks."You drink what you like. Anyone has a problem with your choice is broadcasting his own insecurities. Me-I drink whatever stikes my fancy, be it a shot of tequila or a tiramasu martini. My favorite whine is "I'm outta beer!"
Parsnips. Years ago when I was pregnant, my mother put some in a stew she was making for me. For whatever reason when I put a bite in my mouth, I gagged. Now, even the thought of a parsnip makes me nauseous.
I cannot stand dill pickles. It's not just the taste. I find the look of them, the smell of them even the thought of them, absolutely hideous. It has almost become a phobia. If food comes to me in a restaurant with a pickle on the plate my reaction is nothing short of hissing. Sort of like a vampire who sees a cross. When I pass by the pickles in a grocery store, I have to look the other way. I won't eat anything with dill flavouring. My sister thinks I am hilarious and I know it's not rational, but there it is. I am totally fine with sweet pickles. Maybe it's a penis thing - I don't know.
I have never eaten sauerkraut, although I like cabbage, just the looks of sauerkraut in the jar gives me the willies.
I don't like to smell my food after I've eaten it. If the plate still carries the aroma, if there's still food on the plate, or I can smell it on my hands, fingers etc..it make me feel queasy. Ketchup is the worst!
I love to smell books. When I was a kid, I could flip the pages and smell them and know what store the book came from. Nowadays I just smell. Sometimes I will actually choose between 2 books I want (and can't afford both!) by how it smells when I riffle the pages....
Robin wrote: "I love the leathery bound smell of books. not so much paperbacks, which exude no smell as I recall."They do if your cat pees on them!!! LOL!! One of mine got hold of one of my favorite books when I was little and went to town.
Robin wrote: "I love the leathery bound smell of books. not so much paperbacks, which exude no smell as I recall."There's a great smell to paperbacks, but you have to flip the pages quickly and put your nose to the riffled pages.

If I was told I could never read another book, life really wouldn't be worth living.

I can't stand the sight of a drawer left even a bit open. I have get ip and go shut it, or if walking by, stop to shut it.
I have that problem with cabinet drawers. My husband feeds my compulsion by always leaving them open!!
I'm just the opposite with water. When I drink it, I fill the glass with ice first then water and when the water's gone, I drink the ice as it melts. But don't ever, ever under any circumstances give me iced coffee. I drink coffee all day long but it has to be hot. I can't stand it any other way.
I don't like fancy coffees either. Give me a pot of hot, strong, black Folgers and I'm good to go - even on the hottest days.Leigh said: However, I demand my coke and my beer chilled.
Yep. Milk, too. All three need to be teeth-numbing cold. I never order milk in a restaurant. It's never cold enough.
my first cup of "coffee" was on a fishing trip with my dad and uncle. I could not understand what was to good about the greyish, fishy smelling water. Been drinking tea ever since.
I have not thrown up for the last 49 years. (That includes a night of food poisoning.) I find it too disgusting to engage in it.
Mike wrote: "I have not thrown up for the last 49 years. (That includes a night of food poisoning.) I find it too disgusting to engage in it."I find it disgusting too. But, usually if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen.
I need to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the window. If there is no window, put me close to the door! :)
I am an American where Mac & cheese, potato salad, macaroni salads are King. Where we put gravy on our mashed potatoes & turkey. In the South, they like biscuits smothered in gravy. I detest all of those. I found that there are textures and smells I cannot abide. Salsbury Steak, Chicken Fried Steak? Nope. Oatmeal may lower my cholesterol, but I gag eating it.
I had a co-worker accuse me of being "un-American". As far as wool, it itches like crazy, most polyester blends make me sweat horribly.
I am borderline phobic of bees due to walking into a bees nest at 5. (I am 50). Oh, cheddar cheese and yogurt is my weird food.

Umm, I think, to American's, it would be fries, and lemon jelly?
