So we've been having these lovely conversations about rape, and sexual harassment, and whose at fault. Now within the text they drill it into the handmaids heads that it is their fault and not the mans.... if you were paying attention you know my opinion, so let's hear some of yours!

Amanda Louder | 1 comments I think as humans we SHOULD be in unanimous agreement, but that is obviously not the case. Rape isn't within the woman's control. It is a completely ridiculous notion to believe otherwise, because the women that get raped aren't "sluts" or "asking for it", because it's the man's decision to either attack woman, or let her walk away free. Women should have the freedom to not fear the thought of being raped. Women who have been raped should never believe it was within their control to stop the situation or change it in any way, because the only conscious decision that was made was by the man.

J. (jarthurweber) | 1 comments Well, people who are robbed are robbed because they have valuable things, and people who are shot are shot because they are not wearing body armor and are in the paths of bullets. Surely people who are killed in war are guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. All of these things must be true by way of logical extension if women are asking to be harassed or raped.

Haha and by extension you could say that by living you are asking to die.
