Is GOODREADS a GOOD place to promote books for pre-teens to read?

Even though the cover is not the right one for the book Little League Softball Champs I still wanted to get a really honest opinion about GOODREADS being a great site to promote this book for girls between the ages of 9 - 13.

You have to be 13 to have an account on GR - so you would most likely be promoting to parents and not necessarily your direct audience
