Jayne | 2 comments I was trying to describe to someone the clock that Marthe and Gaultier were tending on board ship. My copies are in storage. Can anyone find the first description of the clock and help me out by typing it here?

Thanks.

Sam | 24 comments PIF and the rest of the books are in "Google Books". You can search for any word in the whole text. Pretty cool. This is the link, for the search of "clock" there are 9 results.

Sam | 24 comments Oops, it's still the search for OOnagh. On the left type in clock and it will search the book for you.

Jayne | 2 comments Thanks, Sam. I'm surprised it's so little described - only three mentions - but as usual it's as vividly detailed as any other part of the Dunnett universe.

Sam | 24 comments Do a search for "spinet". It isn't always referred to as a clock.

Not a clock, a spinet (small musical instrument like a piano before piano) with clockwork mechanisms that moved when opened and played, all bejeweled.

Zorro (zorrom) Like a music box!? but bigger?
