"Yeah, I was. I realise now that you had no idea what I was talking about but by the end of it, you'll be hooked. I promise you that Galen," Adrianna replied, grinning excitedly at him and glancing out the window to check where they were even though she had never actually been to the ocean before.

He answered looking at her." I mean I still can't tell you anything you said besides Disney"
Galen answered then parked at a relatively empty beach," alright you ready?"
Adrianna laughed, surprised that he even knew that much considering how clued out he seemed to be on everything. "Let's do this," she replied with a nod, unbuckling her seat belt and hopping out of the truck.

"I'm sure I will be but for now I'm going to enjoy having the upper hand," Adrianna replied with a grin, walking with him to the water sitting down on the edge, slipping her flip flops off and burying her toes in sand on an actual beach. She'd only ever been near sand in a sand pit years ago when she was younger. She'd never gotten to go to an actual beach before.

"Enjoying this while you check for people like you said you would. I told you I'd never been to the ocean before. That included a beach. I've never been. My mom wouldn't let me go," Adrianna explained with a small smile at the strange new feeling.

"I'm good," Adrianna said, feeling accomplished now that she'd actually been to the beach. Taking her t-shirt off and shimmying out of her shorts once again, she folding them quickly and placed them beside the towels with her flip flops on top. "Let's to this," she told him, feeling anxious and excited butterflies bubble in her stomach.

Adrianna nodded, bracing herself for the cold anyway as she stepped into the water after him. She knew that she wouldn't turn with just her ankles covered in water but she still tried to stop herself from turning. "Wow. You were actually right," she blurted when she didn't feel the rush of cold from the water.

"I can't turn now but I'm trying to stop anyway. Just in case. I'm not that stupid," Adrianna retorted, rolling her eyes at him. She walked further into the water till she was standing beside him. Her whole body was itching to turn but she held it off.

"Don't laugh. You don't get it," Adrianna grumbled, picking up her pace so she was nearly caught up with him. "This feels really weird," she told him, reaching up to tighten her ponytail.

"That doesn't sound slightly creepy," Adrianna replied sarcastically, reclining back in the water and letting that familiar flare of pain brush down her legs as they turned to a tail.

Adrianna nodded in agreement, laughing softly when he did. "Wow," she breathed out as his legs turned to the bluish, purple tail with hints of green through it. She knew she was probably embarrassing herself but she couldn't help but stare in awe at the tail as she started to get the antsy feeling once more, her body begging her to swim.

"Mostly," she repeated with a joking scoff. "How comforting," she finished sarcastically, flashing a grin at Galen. Awkwardly moving out deeper with him, she tried to get used to having a tail, not really having full control over it just yet.

"Where no one will hear me scream," she added jokingly with a small laugh. "It's hard," she complained, trying to forget about it like he had told her to but it was still awkward and choppy.

"Like I said. Creepy," she said seriously at first but then broke into a grin. Nodding, she watched him move and tried to copy. It was still stiff and awkward at first but as she focused more on him than herself, she felt it start to come naturally. With a beaming smile, she dipped under he water, blinking to let her eyes adjust to the salty water around her.

Smiling at the excitement of it, Adrianna pushed herself down further, following Galen down deeper into the water. She reached up, guiding the tie out of her hair and securing it sound her wrist as her hair Swayed in the water. It just felt normal, the natural thing to do and she loved it. She swam in a circle around Galen before stopping in front of him. "I did it," she told him proudly.

Adrianna grinned, flicking her tail so she twirled around in the water. It was the strangest more wonderful feeling she had ever felt and she loved it. She dipped and dived through the water, each twist of her tail taking her further away from Galen but she always swam back to him. "I know you can see but saying it out loud makes it more real," she called back in reply.

Adrianna swam towards Galen with a grin and took his hand, pulling him towards her as she pushed her tail so she was swimming backwards. "Come on, have some more fun than that," Adrianna said with a laugh. She hadn't been too sure about being a mermaid both with all the fun she'd been having, she decided that she wouldn't trade it for the world.

"Show me something," she requested, twirling in the water under his arm, not letting go of his hand as he swam with her. "Something that I couldn't see on land. Something awesome," she added, smiling at him, not able to get the grim off of her face.

Adrianna nodded excitedly as he told her, biting her lip as he pulled her closer to him. She hesitated as he told her to put her arms around him. "I'm uh, sure I'll be fine," she replied, biting her lip again as she looked at him.
Adrianna bit her lip, still wary but she nodded. She hadn't known him for long but she trusted him. "Okay," she said nervously, not liking having to rely on him that much. She was already asking for his help teaching her to be a mermaid, she didn't want to be more of a burden on him. Still, she held onto her gingerly.

Adrianna nodded, exhaling deeply. "I trust you, I do," she told him, listening to what he told her and wrapping her arms around his neck. She felt herself blush lightly at how close they were and tried to relax her tense muscles.

Adrianna tensed up again as she stated to swim, feeling weird as he did all the work and she just rode along with him. She pushed herself closer, burying her face into him as they went deeper. She wasn't scared of going deeper, just adjusting to the newness of it all.

Adrianna nodded against him, loosening her hold on him just a bit, afraid that she was making him uncomfortable. She lifted her head off him and looked around at the dolphins. Her eyes lit up as she smiled in awed excitement at the dolphins around them. "Awesome," she breathed.

"Seriously?" she asked excitedly, looking from the dolphins to Galen with a grin. She reached out, her fingers brushing against the side of the dolphin while it let out a series of clicks and squeaks. She laughed softly in surprise as the dolphin nudged her hand.

Adrianna was wary of letting go of Galen, even though she had been the opposite way a few minutes earlier. "This is so cool," she said to him, grinning as the dolphin clicked and squeaked again, playfully nudging her stomach.

Adrianna swallowed as Galen moved her hands and placed on on the dolphin's nose. It clicked and squeaked happily, making her giggle as it swam excitedly in front of her. "Dude, this is amazing," she laughed, running her hand lightly over the dolphin's fin.
