Danielle This book is definetly better! Don't worry you won't come across any sparkling creatures. The conflict is also different, unlike twilight where other vampires are the big issue its the fact that Sam (boy main character) is going to turn back into a wolf next winter and he may never change back and he just met Grace. If you like paranormal romance you'll love it! I definetly did, one of my all time favorites :)

willaful I thought it was pretty similar, but The Raven Boys by the same author is original and very well written.

Donna Not at all. they shouldn't even be in the same sentence! This book was about true love and hope, as Twilight was about lust and solitude. This book had characters that were much like people out there today, and Twilight was about a dog that probably had a flee problem, a sparkling vampire that needs to learn the concept of tanning, and a depressed girl whom throughout the whole book needed to wake up to reality! I mean she had to have been one of the most gullible character i've ever read about.

Twilight however did have a good purpose, and i did overall like the story line, but it just was just too "WHOE IS ME".

~*~Princess Nya Vasiliev~*~ Definitely nothing at all like Twilight and should not even be compared to it IMO.. That being said, I loved this entire trilogy of Shiver. You should read it.

Why is every freakin book compared to Twilight or Fifty Shades of Grey now? It needs to stop like immediately. It's been getting beyond ridiculous.

Kylie The whole series is so much better, as people have already said, the characters are better developed and Grace doesn't whine like Bella does. The only similarity is the genre "paranormal romance" but this novel is actually romantic. The two leads are really good for each other and there's not creepy "i'm going to sneak in your bedroom and watch you sleep." It's a very cute relationship that develops over three books and each book is very different. It's also written in different views of characters so you get multiple perspectives. Overall, I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!!!

Kirsten I don't think it's anything at all like Twilight. I didn't really enjoy this series though, I liked this first book but the other two didn't really do it for me I found it all a bit childish, but then I liked Twilight and you didn't so you might enjoy it.

Evelyn Not like twilight at all. Strong, independent characters. It is well written and not a love triangle like Twilight.

Aziza Completely different to Twilight. I read only the first book of the twilight series (not because i didn't like the books, but because i had watched all the movies first and it was ruined for me) - the shiver series is not even a bit similar to Twilight.

Two completely distinct plots.

Don't get me wrong, the shiver series was great too :) but by the time 'Forever' came out, i had moved on and gotten over it.

Kenzie no this book is definetly not like twilight and if it was i would have dropped the book half way through

No. Twilight is just so popular that they compare every single book with vampires/werewolves to it.

American Wolf no this is nothing like Twilight and i agree with message 15

♥Milana♥ Absolutely nothing like Twilight.

American Wolf very true to helaina

American Wolf welcome:)

Emilee Honestly i liked it better than Twilght. i felt Twilight was unreasonably long, going on and on about one thing then moving to the next to go on and on about.

trust me thhe movie make the book bad twilight is ok shiver is the best

Haidi Well I've read both, they are nothing alike. Twilight (and the rest) is a more in depth lengthy read, the Shiver series is easy and quick. I enjoyed both but on totally different levels.

I found the shiver series not nearly as captivating or addictive. But yes, this is coming from a Twilight fan.
