The Giver
question
How did you look at the world after you finish?

This book has changed my whole life! This book made me become a better reader and human. This book made me look at the world with such depth. I wonder more about the power of choice and the community! I love this book. Everyone should read this

I looked at the world exactly the same, just annoyed that the story/writing was so lame.
if this changed you, I suggest Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. This wasn't my first dystopain so I had less of an OMG moment but the idea of having a world literally in black and white was a new concept for me
This book made me more grateful of the society around me. It also changed my thoughts about being a indevisule.
I don't know... I kinda had the same thing you had (srhelsel609). It's kinda like I used to look at a painting and think " It's a horse. " now I look deeper. I really enjoyed this book (read it like 5 times (^.^) and I still love it! I also agree everyone should this! But like all books this has haters and that makes me sad that not everyone was able to obtain the meaning behind the book. :( But no doubt this is (and will probably forever be) one of the most inspirational books that changed my life! (And also a favorite ;)
After reading this book, I felt very lucky to be in this world and I thought about what caused this world to be like the word in Giver.
This book changed my life!
