Red Queen (RQ) was a little tough to get into. At the beginning I thought it was moving too slow but after reading more into it, I realised that the beginning was quite relevant. I'm starting to enjoy this book now and I hope it gets better from here.

I'm getting a sort of Hunger-Games reaping vibe mixed with a fight-scene from Legend (Marie Lu)(Dawn knows what I'm talking about)! I know it's considered horrible to compare books to other books but I'm just trying to create an image. I'm actually digging the book so far but I look forward to when things pick up.

And Reema, I totally agree! It was a little hard to get into for me as well. (Although that may just be because I was preoccupied with The Mortal Instruments and I didn't want to jump out of the world so soon!)

With that Spiral Garden arena thing (where they had the "pageants" and the electric shield), it was kind of hard for me to picture what was happening until I finished reading that section. I didn't get the full picture until I went back to it a second time. Did that happen with anyone else?

Still getting a sorta Hunger Games vibe with this. Kilorn=Gale and the whole black-market thing??? But I really like Gisa, she's like an older versioned Prim. (I know I'm doing it again but if I make connections, I honestly think I'll enjoy the book better.
