Lou Rocama | 457 comments I'm trying to find this for a friend, so I might have some details mixed up. Not that I expect that to matter much with this particular novel.

Lucy is the best at spanking, but then Dracula comes and spanks her. Then Lucy doesn't want to spank the townspeople anymore, because she can only think about getting spanked by Dracula. The townspeople then go try to kill Dracula because it's the only way Lucy will spank them again.

Yep, Andria, That's it.

The other terrible 90's vampire paperback of forgotten title and author (part of a collection that I, alas, sold in 1998 and have since described to Lou, to great amusement) was one in which the vampires (not all vampires, just the protagonist ones) were gay men who bit men on the butt. This was not allowed in vampire society because a person is turned into a vampire when bitten three times, and vampires inspect people's necks for scars before biting them, but do not ordinarily check their butts.

Lou Rocama | 457 comments Congrats, Grafton!

You should put that other in a new thread, tho, 'cause I just moved this one to 'solved'.

If it's ever identified I'll try to remember to make a thread for it and/or post it here as an aside. Although I'd start an unsolved thread for it yourself if you haven't already. Grafton never did that I know of.

Hello! I thought you might be interested to know that I have finally, after twelve long years, identified my gay vampire novel. The book is Out For Blood by John Peyton Cooke, published in 1991, so the timing to sell in 98 works perfectly. I don't think I ever would have found my novel without this detail, so I thank you and Grafton, if they ever see this, from the bottom of my heart.
