Watcha Doing? Version 2015.5

Big hugs to you Berit.

It's hard when you feel that you may hurt someone's feelings, but he's in the business and should be able to take the criticism. I'm sure he'd want you to be happy with the finished product.

Hahaha! I'm sure it would remind my son of me too because he swore I had eyes in the back of my head. :)

Berit - the adventure begins - buck up! You think going away to college is hard - wait until they want to get married. But I know, it is like that first day of kindergarten. You just won't see him in a couple of hours though. Hugs!
Peggy - what they all said before. Tell him. It is your money and you want your cover to be what you want, not what he thinks he heard you want. It is like working with programmers trying to design a tool for something you need, but they know nothing about the process. It is a lot of back and forth until it works and you are happy.

That's a big transition for your family, I'm sure. Congratulations to him, and I envy him beginning his college experience. I've never been nostalgic about high school, but I do get nostalgic about college. I went to school 2000 miles away from my family before moving back to the West Coast to be closer to them.

No, this is my first one. I am fast running out of space to put all my physical books so it's going to come in very handy :)

Right now .. I hate braces -Like I loved them before and now I hate 'em! -
Two day ago niece gave me some hard seeds and said "Open!" I can't resist her cuteness when she asks for something -heart melting-
So I just took it and tried to open it and next second I heard "pok" sound .. Congratulations you just broke your braces !
I tried to call the hospital to come right away and fix it but no answer and Friday it was closed so I had to stay two nights with broken braces!
My teeth started to shift right away and I felt a gab was starting to form, on Friday's evening The gap was even bigger, and then my teeth started to hurt -again- :(
I just went this morning to fix it, now my teeth are hurting again cuz they're shifting again .. So annoying ..
Can't wait till my treatment is over ..
- I know I complain a lot about it, it's only cuz of the pain .. And I hate painkillers .. So .. -

Happy Belated Birthday, Lisa! :D

Great gift, have fun!!
I am sitting in front of my laptop, drinking a glass of wine, (which is OK as it is past 4pm in the afternoon) and reading through as many of the recent posts as I can in this group! (I should really be reading, but hey..).

What is it again that they say Anna? It's 5pm somewhere in the world ;-)
I've been in a bit of a reading slump the past weeks. Hope it will be over soon!
Indeed Peggy!! This glass of wine is very good Janice!

Happy belated birthday Lisa - I hope you enjoy your kindle.
I picked some sloes and blackerries today so I can make the sloe gin I mentioned before. The blackberries are to add to a crumble. There are two bushes next to where we're moored which is full of damsons but they are a bit high up. I really want to pick some to add to the crumble. I might have to see what I can do tomorrow to get hold of them.

Do you sew? Even a little? We use a trick that my grandmother used for her trees- they were 30 or so years old when I was a kid and at least 30 feet tall. So some of the fruit was really high up. You bend a wire clothes hanger into roughly a circle, but with a nipple. (Bend part of the hanger outward.) Cut enough fabric to make a bag- just run the fabric around the hangar. But don't cover the nipple part. Then you push part of the fabric over the lip of the hanger and sew it onto itself. (Forms a loop of fabric. We used canvas or burlap, but you can use anything sturdy.) Sew the bottom and side of the fabric cylinder to make a pouch. Somehow secure it- either using the wire or the wire plus duct tape- to a pole. If the tree is really high, those telescoping paint ones are good. Our trees aren't that big, so we just take the mop head off its stick.
You approach the fruit from underneath and use the nipple part to grasp the branch. (The bag should be under the fruit.) If the fruit is ripe enough, it falls off the branch easily. You just kind of slide the wire nipple across the branch, behind the fruit until the fruit falls into the bag.

@Sarah: *looking with jealousy*
Its also cool that we don't have any kind of berries around here .. Or any other fruit :(

Wooooob woooob I rocked my test today, it was online, 36 questions .. I scored 97% my teacher said that I only had 1 mistake, in which the question said something about "erupt" and I had no clue what that word means ! So I went like "hey that word sounds like "corrupt" so maybe it has the same meaning" -such an analysis- which appeared to be wrong XP

Since he can't have his car on campus, will you have to go pick him up for him to come home on weekends and holidays?
@Peggy, hopefully the second attempt on your cover will be much more to your liking!
