Bre, It definitely sounds like a book I would love. I finished Slammed (Slammed, #1) by Colleen Hoover last night and I loved it. The story between Lakyen and Will is star crossed lover material and I was totally drawn in to their dynamics. I will definitely be reading the next book "Point of Retreat" next.

Thanks for a great pick!

Hi Elaine, I'm not sure if I responded or not to this earlier but I thought I would go for Catching Fire as I've just finished, for other challenges, the other three you mentioned. Thanks for the picks.

MaryAnn (mapally) I finished Point of Retreat and absolutely love the relationship between Lake and Will in both Slammed and Point of Retreat.

I would highly recommend both of these books!

She has a new one called Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) by Colleen Hoover and it is AMAZING!!!

message 205: by MaryAnn (new)

MaryAnn (mapally) I'm reading it now! :)

I completely agree with you. :)

message 206: by Raven (new)

Raven (missy_aurora) | 0 comments Finished Tracy's pick for me Perfect by Natasha Friend on Monday. Very quick read but it lacked development I though. I enjoyed the girls friendship and how Isabelle deals with her bulimia, her family and the individual therapy sessions. The Group dialog was lacking although her binges with Ashely also lacked some development. ( I kinda think that binges would be more fun with friends but it just lacked some friendly dialog and we don't really learn much abut Ashley or her reason for binging and purging....) Good look at eating disorders but I still can not help comparing it to books like Wintergirls. I would have also given it a different title as it didn't really deal with being Perfect like I though it should have.

Elle (louiselesley) Hello.

Tammy - the reason you didn't hear from me is because you did not message me. I am very busy and do not get a chance to view the thread often. I rely on people messaging me my choice when I get really busy and I reply to that message within a day.

Apologies.

I will be reading one of your picks for me soon. Do you still need a book picked for you?

I would advise that anyone who gets me in future to ALWAYS make sure to message me (it's open to non-friends as well - you do not need to add me!). Actually it'd probably be a good idea for anyone waiting to hear from their partners to message them always.

message 208: by Kaylie (new)

Kaylie Garcia I finished the first book in the three that were picked for me this month. I read The Fault in Our Stars. I must say it was a wonderful read! The characters were relatable and each one improved the others. I felt like I could connect to them but at the same time I couldn't imagine what the characters felt and how much pain they were in. The storyline was interesting with a twist that made my heartache. I thought it began to be a bit rushed at the end, but the beginning was nicely paced. I'm very glad I read it. Thank you, Camilla! I hope the next books I read will be just as good!

I am sorry, I was under the impression that everything was to be done in this thread. I must have missed your message to me, my apologies.

I'm good Carrie picked a few for me to read.

message 210: by Brandy (new)

Brandy I've finished If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won't) by Betty White which was picked for me by Leigh.

It was just okay ** stars from me. Betty White is funny and charming but the book just didn't flow for me. It felt more like notes for a book that should have been revised and edited together more clearly.

message 214: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (crowandiris) | 26 comments Ok both of my pick it for me partners picked on Dublin street by Samantha young and so I went with that book first :)
I liked it and give it a 3.5. It's a new type of book for me since I usually stick with paranormal (romance) horror, suspense, mystery type books but love the authors other books and wasn't surprised that I liked this one. It's got a great and easy to follow narrative, great cast of characters and who doesn't love Scotland?! Fast read! Thanks again for picking for me.

message 215: by Elise (new)

Elise (redentrapy) | 338 comments I finished Becoming a Butterfly (The Butterfly Chronicles, #1) by Mia Castile . Thank you for suggesting this book I loved it.

Elle (louiselesley) I haven't read my book this month. Apologies - essay deadline crept up on me. I'll be sure to read it over Easter holidays.

Tammy ~Witching Hour Reads~ (03tammy-lynn) | 1434 comments Carrie wrote: "Hi Tammy,

I have not read any of the books on your pick it for me shelf, lol. So I hope I pick good, :) Happy Reading!!

I'm giving you the choice of:
City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare

message 222: by Lisa (new)

Lisa I just read On Dublin Street. It was really good. I guess I'd call it a modern romance/erotic fiction (but nothing like 50 shades. I really enjoyed it and read it pretty quickly. Interesting characters that make you wonder what happens next and keeps you reading.

I'm still reading Catching Fire. It's interesting at the moment. Unfortunately I'm only getting snippets of time to read it hence why it's taking so long.
