Deciding what to read

Beyond the recommendations of friends, what blogs, websites, magazines, newspapers, etc., do you turn to for suggestions on what to read?

Thanks!!

I highly recommend Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

For a variety of suggestions, I simply google "best books of 2015," or whatever year it is, a few times throughout the year, and tons of respected websites pop up to investigate. Then I make note of what books sound interesting and look them up on this site for the general opinion on them.

I like listening to podcasts and often I look up recomendations from them, other than that I often browse goodreads and jump from one book to another and add to want to read whatever sounds interesting to me.

Goodreads' recommendations are pretty good.

I sometimes find books that Goodreads friends have reviewed or shelved, but more often than not, I discover many books on the 'Readers Also Enjoyed' section of a book's Goodreads page.
I find that I almost never, if ever, look on the my Goodreads recommendations list, because I usually find interesting books myself ;) Though I do use it sometimes, it can be very useful.

I also look at lists such as The Best Books of 2015 or whatever year. I also look at various Bestseller lists and book award nominations.

I just rate books and see what my recommendations give me. I find some okay stuff.
