Notes from No Man's Land

When I first picked up Notes from No Man's land I instantly thought I wasn't going to like it because it was a lyric essay. I was wrong. Biss's collection of different essays in Notes from No Man's Land all attracted my attention in different ways and I really enjoyed the way she wrote. Each essay had something to do with race or racism in American and the cultures that belong to each. Some were obvious, and some just had faint mentions, but you could always tell the main topic was still on racism and the different cultures that go along with each different race. It showed the side of the whites and the minorities. I would recommend this book, I could see anyone enjoying it.
