This seems to be a book written from the perspective of the British and the Protestants. Could be a bit like reading George Bush's version of his presidency?

Best to read a few versions of the Hx to get a balanced view. It wasn't a straight Catholic/Protestant thing, this is the modern oversimplification of the "troubles"...there were Protestants involved in the rising...many of the causes may be viewed as Communist by today's media...complex. But if you think this is complex try the civil war period.
