That's the important thing.

Philip Athans (philathans) I have tons of notebooks all over the place, but none of them could be considered a journal, much less a diary. I try to live by these rules:

Never write down something you don't want people to read, never say something you don't want people to hear, and never photograph, videotape, or draw something you don't want people to see.

Sure, dozens...some used some not. The real question is, do I regularly write in one? Nope, not for ages. Mostly due to laziness and a complete and total lack of "alone time" in my world.

Courtney (jellyfishies) | 5 comments I have an online blog. (live journal). I've had it for 10.5 years now.

Louise I kept a journal when I was a teen. Now I keep a journal for each of my kids (ages 4 and 5) - I figured I'll do it until they learn how to write, then they can go on if they want to :-)
Then when they want to know what the first 6-ish years of their lives were like, I'll have a bunch of journals to give them, and they'll be able to "remember" their vacations, interactions with their grand-parents etc.

Louise! What a great idea.

Imjstgr8 | 11 comments I keep one and have for years.. I found that it was the best way for me to express my thoughts and feelings in a clear and understandable way. I find that when my emotions are involved if I don't write down my feelings I stay discombobulated and upset. I don't write everyday, only on days when I have very strong emotions or when I feel as if God has said something that I need to write down and not forget.

Imjstgr8 | 11 comments Oh and I have a tendancy to leave mine all over the house.. If someone reads it, they are likely to either get their feelings hurt OR be shocked (depend on the emotion I was having that day) Or even be encouraged or enlightened... I'm pretty much an open book.
