What we do in that case is leave all previous editions in tact but add a new edition, like you said. When you add the edition, since it has already used its ISBNs and ASIN, leave those fields blank. (When you add the edition it will still be connected to the ISBN. If you ever run into a book that is not connected, but should be, you can request that they be "combined.") Simply type the ISBN in the description field or leave it off entirely. Also, sometimes librarians create a hyperlink on the main entry that says you can see an alternate cover edition "here." When you create your edition you can add your own description, a publisher's description, or just copy the back cover.
Next, you can upload the exact cover image for your edition of the book. (We do not get rid of old covers because people like to have the exact cover of the book in their library, which may be older. It is against policy to do change them.) You can grab an image from Amazon.com or a number of other places (see the Handbook for the full list), or, you can upload a photo you took yourself. These new editions with different covers are called ACEs (Alternate Cover Editions).
Another option: if you are having difficulty or need a mistake fixed you can always post a link of the cover you want uploaded and the link of the book you are working on, for example.
Here is the link for the Handbook: https://www.goodreads.com/librarian_m...
I hope this gets you started. If not, we'll be here.

Well I already added a new edition as per the instructions above with no ISBN. Is there something else I need to do?

Is there a way that information could be refreshed? Perhaps if the Kindle or Smashwords edition could be deleted, I could re-enter the information myself.
Thanks so much for all the help!
