My summer is just getting way to busy for me to consistently update..
BUT if anyone would like to take over updating this challenge, you can PM me and I can add your email list to the spreadsheet so you can update the dares and whatnot.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to jump in with the Dare Challenge for next month. :) I was wondering, though, if for the Colors Dare, if I could do my least favorite color (orange) rather than my favorite (purple)?? I just haven't found a book with a purple cover or purple in the title that I haven't already read, and want to read. Thank you for organizing this challenge :)
Do books need to be a certain length? I'm reading the Spiderwick Chronicles and I was wondering if they would count or if they're for too young an age group...? Thank you!

If the cover doesn't have anything purple on it, I would say see if it fits under a different dare :)
There is no particular age group for the books and for the color dare just any color that you really like.

I have another question... Do we only count books that were started and finished in July, or can we count any books that we finished in July even if they were started in a previous month?
I am pretty sure that it is books finished in July. This challenge isn't too picky . :)

Please forgive me if I've overlooked this, but are graphic novels/trade paperbacks/comic books permitted in this challenge?

Is there a new thread to sign up for August? I don't know how I have missed this for so long. Sounds like loads of fun and since I am SOOOO addicted to reading challenges this will be right up my alley.
There is no sign up. You just post that you either finished or are going to read a book for a particular dare. Then when finished post in the completion thread.
Do the books I add have to be YA? I have 1 book I want to read for the Mystery dare but it is an adult book.
They do not have to be YA.
One last question, I just read my first ever graphic novel and with was over 2oo pages (265 to be exact) does that count? I don't want to put it down anywhere if graphic novels were not allowed
I don't think that they are allowed.
I read 10 books this month, many of which meet the requirements for some of the dares. However I didn’t post before reading then, because I was not yet a member of the group. Do those books count also or would they not because I didn’t specify I was going to read them for the date first?
They count. Some of us, myself included, will post after we read the book. It just depends on the person.
I miss this game! I need to get back on it next year.
I was wondering if this challenge is going to carry over in 2018? I really hope it does because I want to really do this challenge this up coming year.
