For only being here a few days, Jay had already been through quite a bit. Poseidon had claimed him as quickly as he arrived in the camp and he was treated as if he were some type of prince or someone important. His siblings he had gotten to know vaguely but he was still weary and he didn't have any trust towards them which made him even more distant from his siblings. the few days were a blur. He mostly had been in his room, quietly thinking to himself. All he could think about was Azalea now that he was here in this 'safe zone'. The only person he trusted and now he had to find her.
Today was the first time he had come out of his room to go and explore. Fortunately, the weather was quite nice today. However, if he thought about it, wasn't the weather always nice here? The camp was pretty large and there was a ton of different places to go. The campers were friendly, giving him the occasional nod or hello. Some of them however seemed a little snooty. He however, only did a simple nod with a blank expression. Still traumatized from being out and fighting for his own life, he still did not feel very safe here. Chiron, the man who had greeted him, was kind and made him feel at ease but still, his heart was closed up and his fighting mode was on at all times.
Jay ran his hand through his dark brown, blue highlighted hair and his green eyes dashed wildly across the place. Suddenly, he heard clashing of swords. Immediately, he pulled out his knife and ran to the spot where it was coming from. His mind told him that it was a monster and that they needed help. He ran with his necklaces making loud clattering noises and it made people jump when they saw his knife out.
Once he got to the spot, he saw that it was only people practicing. His heart was pounding, from running and from that sense of fear. His eyes dashed from place to place and he slowly walked towards the arena where they trained. He pulled up his dark grey hoodie and then his pair of faded blue jeans, trying to make himself look somewhat presentable.
As soon as he walked he saw dagger hit the ground beside him not so far away. At first he jumped but he saw a target so he was sure it wasn't for him. He slowly reached to pick it up. At the moment, he didn't notice the girl coming to get it nor did he notice that it was the one girl that he had been searching for.
((Nah, I have an idea for it. :D))
Jay looked at the knife, almost studying it. Suddenly, he heard a girl's voice and he jumped a little startled. "Oh-um-hi," he said fidgety. His voice was deep, a voice that had character. It was something you could recognize immediately usually with the southern twang with a little bit of New York running through it made it recognizable. He almost dropped the knife but he had it into firm grip. It was probably due to his instincts. Slowly his eyes looked up at her but his face did not show. He felt his voice get caught in his throat. No-but it had to be. The same glow, the same appearance was all to much to bear.
Jay handed it back to her without question. His mind couldn't wrap around the fact she was standing in front of him. Could it be her? A demigod like him? If it was her, would she be mad at him for leaving? Would she be happy he was standing here? He tugged at his sleeve nervously. He needed to know for sure. He needed to know the girl standing in front of him was the same girl that he was in love with.
Jay felt his eyes widen. The necklaces. Those were the ones he gave her. The same ones he forever wore around his neck. How in the world was she a demigod? She was so normal and peaceful and seemed to not have anything worrying her. How did the monsters avoid her? The questions ran through his mind, pounding at the sides of his head. Then she introduced herself. He was sure it was her now.
Before he said anything, he pinched himself hard which made him wince a little but she was still there. Right in front of him. Slowly he looked at her, with his face directly in the sunlight. "Jay, Jayson Edward Seawick." He looked directly into her eyes and stared hard into them. He felt he was reliving the memories again. His eyes couldn't help but twinkle in the sun. He pulled down his hoodie and his dark brown and blue hair glowed in the sun with his eyes. He slowly stood up to be a little taller than her. A kinder expression formed on his face. Not a smile, but not a frown. It was the look you get when you are shocked but your heart is pounding out of your chest. The moment when you are seeing someone again but you are holding yourself back.
Jay watched at her with his eyes shinning at her. His heart felt like it could come out of his chest. He slowly moved close to her. She was right here in front of him. She wasn't dead. She wasn't injured. She wasn't gone forever. She was right here. Jay saw her shaking and his green eyes looked down at her hands. However, when she said his name he looked back up and nodded. "Yes Azalea," he said to her as his hand slowly crawled up to his neck and he pulled at the chains that he wore around his neck. It jingled and the same necklaces appeared. The trident that glowed faintly with the small diamond and stone carved seahorse. The second was a crystal necklace with gold dandelion and dragonfly wrapped around it. "It's me," he said in a soft voice.
Jay looked into her grey eyes and he stared for a moment before she lightly punched him in the stomach. He looked down before looking back at her. He studied every detail about her face and until he reached her eyes. Those beautiful grey eyes he loved so much about her. "I'm so sorry," he said to her with tears welding in his eyes. His voice was much softer now to almost barely a whisper. The guilt ate him up when he saw her tears forming. He hated that he left her. He had probably caused so much damage to her. But another part him told him that she still cared. That maybe she would find it in her to forgive her. For leaving her. Gods, how was even going to tell her why he did leave her? It should be easy shouldn't it?
As she asked the question, he slowly took her hands and intertwined his rough but soft hand into hers. "I should be asking you the same thing," he said with a ghostly smile through his welding tears. Jay was still in a lot of shock that she was standing in front of him. He had honestly thought he would never see her again. But fate had not wanted to be apart for very long.
Jay watched her reaction to him and at first, he wondered if she just wanted him to get lost. If she completely hated him t that moment. He couldn't tell. Her tears that slid down her face, her silent nature made him anxious and start to pray that she did forgive him. They didn't have to be together but she just hoped he could find it in her to forgive him. But, he then realized how wrong he was about her.
When she brought her hands up to his face to wipe away his forming tears, he knew he was very wrong. She had forgiven him. She still loved him as much as he loved her. He never took his eyes off of her and he carefully brought his hand up to hers after holding them briefly. Just her touch made him feel at ease. He had missed everything about her and it just eased him to know that she truly was real.
As she practically jumped into him, he held her tightly and practically spun her around. He kissed her forehead before burring his head into her shoulder. "I missed you more than you can imagine," he mumbled. Without her, he felt empty, like a part of him was forever gone. She took something away from him and carried it with her. He never knew how much of his heart was gone until he saw her again. Jay almost let not a chuckled and he raised his hand up to stroke her hair. "Trust me Az, I am not a hallucination. You can count on that."
Jay knew in the back of his mind people were looking at him but didn't even care anymore. He had what was important. He had Azalea. He finally felt like he had a purpose in life instead of just being a boy that fought off monsters. He was important to someone and someone cared about him. Azalea loved him and didn't want him to disappear.
"I have so much to tell you," he whispered to her. Jay felt like he owed her an explanation. A long one to be exact. Why he did leave her. Why he had to.
((*laughs evilly* You want him for yourself? My plan to dominate the-I mean nothing? Pfft, what are you talking about? XD))
((The world.....but I am just teasing....maybe...LOLOL))In the midst of his embrace, he heard what he thought were hiccups. A chuckle escaped his lips. It reminded him of the past. It seemed that something would always happen to break the ice. Jay was usually to turn the moment into something a little more relaxed but now, it was Azalea's turn.
"I know," he mumbled. "I didn't want to leave you. I had to, in order to protect you," he whispered softly. "It was the worst mistake I ever made." Although he had tired to protect her from those men after her, he had still felt guilty. He wished maybe she would have come with him and they would have still been together. But, he also knew that he would have brought more danger upon her. It was a hard choice but he chose to ensure her safety. Now, he was never going to leave her again. He promised himself he would never let anyone touch her as long as he was around. He would train harder, fight harder, and even kill more monsters if that meant he wouldn't have to let her go.
He stroked his fingers through her hair with his other arm firmly holding onto her. His voice was clear and seemed to be stronger. It was as if he empowered him and most of all, he knew that he had to be strong for her.
Jay slowly brought his hand back down from her hair to her waist with his eyes more serious and filled with determination. "Azalea," he brought her head back up to face his. "I promise you, I am actually here. You can even ask Chiron if you don't believe me." He stopped for a moment before biting his lip. "Close your eyes and count to three," he said to her, his brain forming a plan.
"I promise when you open them, I will be here," he said softly.
Jay chuckled, "Sorry." He bit his lip with a tad bit of a smile pulling at his lips. As he watched her eyes, he could tell something was wrong. When she said that he had got to be kidding her, he looked away. "I-" he took in a deep breath before his eyes seemed to look a little darker. An unnatural gleam took over his eyes. "I didn't want you to die."
Jay looked back at her and from the way he looked at her, you could tell that he understood. But it was like something deep down was bothering him, almost seeming to eat him alive from the inside out. It was the one thing that over time he would have to forgive himself for. The guilt of leaving her.
He held her a little bit tighter but he dared not closed his eyes for fear it was a dream. A vivid but beautiful dream. It was as if he still couldn't bring his mind to the fact that it was real. Maybe that is how Azalea felt. Maybe that was why she thought he was a hallucination. Jay smirked a little at her but didn't say anything to her. He watched as she slowly closed her eyes.
While he did this, he pulled back his arms and again, placed his hand into hers. His fingers softly intertwined with hers again. When she opened her eyes, a gentle smile crossed his face. "Are you convinced?" Jay asked her.
Jay flashed a smirk at her, a murmur of a chuckle coming out of his mouth before his face quickly faded back into his soft smile. "Knowing you though, you are still going to check with Chiron," he noted, almost reading her mind. His darkened eyes seemed to fade back to their lighting green and natural glow. Jay's joking streak was starting to come back and he felt like he could be himself again.
Suddenly, his expression changed again when he saw the wave of panic cross over her face. The worry for her was evident. "Azalea, what's wrong?" Jay asked, his voice low and cautious. As she smiled at their hands his expression still didn't change due to the concern he felt for her.
"Same," he said to her. He looked over at the people looking at them, realizing they had caught somewhat of a crowd. However, he was the type not to care. He was the type that focused what was right in front of him. Azalea was the person he was focused on. He looked back at her and watched as her expression changed. "Hey, don't worry about them. Let them look," he mumbled.
Even though he didn't want her to feel embarrassed, he was glad when she suggested a new spot to locate to. He nodded at her and then released one of his hands from hers. "Lead the way," he said with another gentle grin forming across his face.
Daemon's heart raced as his longsword hit in the center of the dummies chest for the 27 th time that morning. Sweat dripped off his face, as he stood there panting before he moved back to his original fighting position. He had been out here since breakfast, and had no intention of leaving till lunch. Breaking his consecration, Onyx landed on his shoulder, and chipped into his ear. "You know there is a better way to waste your time, like talking. To you know... Actual people Daemon. Don't get me wrong I love our talks but I worried about you." Daemon let a small chuckle escape his lips. Daemon let his sowed lay on the ground as he walked over to wear he kept a cloth, two water bottles, and a few protein bars. "Onyx when have I ever wanted to talk? To people I mean. There's really no point. Besides you're all I'll ever need Onyx." Daemon wiped his face ridding it of the sweat and grime. "Daemon all I'm saying is... I know you have a problem getting close to people ever since-" Daemon gave Onyx a pointed glare that told him to stop before he started. The bird let out a low bird chirp that seemed to resemble a sigh. "All right, but when you end up alone for the rest of your life don't blame me." "Not possible" Daemon replied as he took a swig of water. He set the bottle down once more before pick up his longsword once more. He started to attack the dummy again, and as he did he pictured that the face of the dummy was of the man that ran into his father leaving him into an immobilized state.
Catalya was quick as a viper to strike the dummy on the side with her knee making it sway to the side. Taking only half of second to breath she twirled quickly lifting her left leg hit the dummy hard on the right side of it. With a thump the dummy landed on the ground, smiling triumphantly she picked it up and set it up again. Catalya glanced up to the sky and watched a barn owl swoop down and landed on this man's shoulder, pretending not be interested in their conversation Catalya picked up her sword and practiced some jabbing techniques. Hearing only snippets of their very intersting conversation, she smiled."Maybe you owl's right, your little pet ain't gonna stay with you forever." She said having a tad bit of her colombian accent.
Once again Daemon's concentration was broken, he dropped his weapon on the ground again and turned to the thick accented voice. Daemon fidgeted from one foot the other, he didn't like being caught talking to Onyx in such a way. So where he would usually dismiss the girl, he walked forward. "Actually, he was just telling me about how I need to talk to people more and not just him." He gave a faint smile. And just stood there in front of her. Daemon made hardly any small take, with anyone, so he wasn't exactly sure on how to go about it. Onyx swooped down once again, landing on Daemon's shoulder. "Look! You're talking. To an actual person at that! She's pretty to, maybe you won't be alone forever.hey ask her how-" the bird planed to talk all day, and Daemon was nervous as it was. "Onyx! Stop. I get it."
Catalya observed the guy her blue eyes searching his brown ones."I don't bite." She said as she watched he fidget from one foot the other,he looked like a deer in headlights truly, every action showed how nervous he was about human interaction. He was quite handsome as well shame he wasn't good at talking tons of girls would be head over heels for him. Catalya smiled gently and plopped herself on the ground."I see you're making progress with me than." She said as she tilted her head and looked at him and his owl bickering.
((Quickly remind me on the undated collab, I just want to make sure ^.^))
(( alright so slowly but surely even though they don't consider each other friends they enjoy each other company,Catalya pays a hermes child to bring her beers she's she kinda had trouble with alcohol and she gets way too drunk for her own good and maybe confess to him she has feelings for him?))
((That works for me, and then what if she forgets she ever told him and now he try's to get her mad at him so he doesn't get to close to her??))
Daemon looked between her and Onyx. 'He's just going to whine later if I don't sit down with her, he thought to himself. So sat on the ground his legs folded. He picked up Onyx off of his shoulder and let him pearce on his hand. "My names Daemon, I think that's where this headed." He stated coolly. Daemon started petting the underside of Onyx's chin. Knowing that this was his favorite spot to be pet. While doing so, Daemon thought about how vulnerable he was in this situation, the last time he sat with his legs folded. Had to have been when he was at the Army base, as he read on the floor during the summer. Sometimes, Daemon just wanted to go back, and pretend like nothing ever happened.
Catalya smiled softly as he glanced between her and the owl,she watched him as he decided to sit down and grinned wide." Ahh mister cool guy right?" She said as she heard him try to muster some dignity in his sentence."Anywho name's Catalya named after a flower." She said softly remembering her garden back in Colombia. "So why does a guy like you don't have friends." She said without thinking the question was too personal,no Catalya was all about being outspoken.
Daemon didn't really want to answer honestly, because once he did then that would open up a can of worms on it's own. So he searched his mind for an antiquate answer, and while doing so his hand stilled. "I have my reasons." He answered finally. He didn't know what to tell her, and frankly it really was none of her business. Daemon looked around trying to find a way to change the subject. "I see you're interested in daggers, any interest in stilettos?" If there was one thing daemon knew about it was weaponry. He knew a blade like the back of his hand, or at least he knew his own blade like the back of his hand.

Catalya raised her eyebrows awaiting her answer but he replies with a nice I have my reasons ."Owe so mysterious." She said as she fell on her back and sighed contently enjoying the nice cold ground against her back. Catalya saw the obvious change in conversations and sighed she'll ask that question another day. Searching through her brain for the term stilettos, she remember that it was a short dagger with a tapering blade. " I personally don't enjoy using them but yeah they're okay." She said not wanting to admit that she had zero idea on how to use them.
Daemon gave a small smile a chuckles slightly. He could tell that she didn't know exactly what a stiletto was. For if she did she would use them, instead of the type of dagger she used now. "Well with you body type, a stiletto would be perfect for you. You could strike faster, and with more power. Your opponent wouldn't know what hit them." Daemon let Onyx out of his grasp, so the little owl could investigate Catalya laying on the ground, gazing up at the sky above her. Onyx slowly hopped to the point where he stood right next to her arm. Onyx cocked his head this way and that simply looking at her not saying anything to Daemon.
Catalya smiled a lame smile as she realized he wasn't fooled by her lame attempt to lie. Raising an eyebrow as he mentioned what she could do with a dagger like that she was immediately intrigued, shrugging off the comment about her body she thought about ways on how she could get her hands on something like that.As her mind raced to find any acquaintances from the Hephaestus cabin, and it clicked there was this guy who had some what feelings for her and would do anything for a kiss. A kiss for a weapon, she could live. Shattering her thoughts, with a soft touch from the owl's wing she blinked her eyes and watched as the owl examined her." I could get the weapon ,but all I need is a teacher." She stated, basically waiting for him to offer himself to teach her.
