Yay! Thank you so much, it has been driving me crazy that i couldn't remember! This is now SOLVED :)
It is an adult urban fantasy series (main characters all over 18).
The story starts off when a male shifter comes into the office of our main female and tells her the alpha queen "requests her presence" (really it's a demand). The male takes her to see the alpha (bitch) queen and she tells the MC(main character) woman that her nephew is missing and she is to find him. The MC woman could tell the alpha queen was really mean and kinda crazy. The MC woman has a gift at "finding things". Leaving no choice but to agree because the alpha queen would kill her otherwise she goes on the journey to find the boy who is around puberty age. The male shifter mentioned earlier is the queen's second in command and is ordered to protect her and help her on the quest (and he would be the one to kill her if she fails...he's the queen's assassin or something like that). He was told to protect her from anyone... including the alpha queen so when the MC woman and alpha get pissed at one another and the alpha lady starts the attack the male shifter has to protect her. I believe he is a type of cat shifter (maybe a panther). Along the way they trust one another (later falling in love) and even if she fails he wouldn't harm her. They find the nephew who humans kidnapped all these kid shifters. The boy is on the verge of doing his first shift but managed to control it despite being starved. They journey back home and the male shifter MC has to kill the alpha queen because she has decided to kill the woman MC anyways (or something like that). Also the alpha queen is crazy and abusive and never cared for the boy that's way he ran away. The male MC wins and the alpha queen dies which means the new alpha is him. He always knew he was stronger but didn't ever desire to be alpha. I know there was romance between the male shifter and the MC woman. And that's all I can remember...
I know this is a series book but can't remember any of the books :(. Please help me find this book so I can get it on my Kindle.
