Actually, my sister and I are in a fight about this! It's on my bingo and I counted Summer House with Swimming Pool because it's about the lead up to and fallout from a summer holiday; she says if it isn't a set calendar date, it doesn't count! I'm assuming they meant a traditional holiday like Christmas, but I think you can take it to mean a vacation as well. I'm not really sure if it counts as a vacation novel (basically the family lives somewhere for like 3 years and calls it a vacation). It's "My Family and Other Animals" by Gerald Durrell. It's a memoir and hilariously funny.
