How about something by Karin Slaughter? I have only read a couple of her novellas but I enjoyed them. I own a couple of her novels that I hadn't gotten to yet.
Would anyone be interested in The Summer is Ended and We Are Not Yet Saved? Can someone tell me how many pages? If its not long maybe a buddy read?
Too short to nominate u think? I'd do a buddyread if ur interested? I need to check if its lendable because I think its 8 bucks.
Thanks Maxine for checking. Its not lendable...bummer. I requested One Bloody Thing After Another. If its good, I may buy the other one.
I've never read anything by Karen, so I'm not sure. I've been wanting to read mo hayder again. I read birdman and it was pretty good.
Anyone know of a book that has a horror twist on the classic Peter Pan? I came across one and cant remember the name. Any help wud be appreciated:)
Another pan looks good, I'm not sure about the other one. I watch once upon a time with my wife because it is one of the few shows she watches that I can stand and that has an evil Peter pan, have you ever seen it?
No, I haven't. I really don't watch anything other than the news. I started watching the Alice in Wonderland show, but lost interest.
Yea we watched one of those and never watched any more. I rarely watch tv either but it is something we do together every Sunday night. It's not bad.
The only thing I plan on watching and my husband too is Under the Dome when it starts back up in June. I'm not caught up on Game of Thrones but I have crappy cable anyway. My husband wud rather be outside with a fire. Im starting to like it.
I would much rather sit by a fire, I have already mentioned camping out in the yard when it gets warmer just so the girls can sit with us until bed time and after they are sleeping we can stay out and not have to take them into the house.
Yes, we plan on doing the same. Our boys love a good fire. The downside is smelling like fire when u go to bed. My bedroom reeks of it! Need to open a window...lol.
Mays winner is hive. Here is a link to the thread for it, just comment that you are joining the group read and you should get notifications for new comments when we start reading it on May 5th

I just noticed that one of my suggestions for next month's poll The Troop is on sale for 3.99 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B...
I don't read on vacation either scott, or weekends for that matter. Family time always comes first. Doing anything fun?
Yeah, it's a big one for us. Two weeks in Hawaii. First week we will have some of my son's fellow high school grad's with us in Honolulu. Then we'll spend about a week on the main island visiting the volcano, and other sites with just the immediate family.
Sound like a nice vacation, my wife would love to go to hawaii. We went to Florida for our honeymoon but that's the only big trip we have ever taken. hope you have a good time!

Nice, Scott, that sounds fantastic.
Dang it Justin, I totally missed the sale!

I don't know how long it had already been on sale when I saw and posted it. It has been really popular lately you can probably find someone to lend it to you. There was a big buddy read at horror aficionados, you could post there asking if anyone would lend and probably get it.
I missed out on the sale too, but I didn't have the money to spare anyway. I have the Audible version of it though.Hawaii does sound nice, wish I could go back there. Went there years ago and enjoyed my time there. Me and my wife went to Florida for our honeymoon too. Spent a week at the Club Med resort there. Definitely an enjoyable experience but probably not something I could do again. Went in March and timed it perfectly with the end of spring break there. Since we drove down we got to see how stupid a lot of people were on the expressway. Luckily we were going south because the road heading north was at a very long standstill due to the massive number of car accidents. It was so bad that there weren't any emergency vehicles at the last few we saw and don't see how they would have gotten through anyway. Stupid drunk drivers. There was a total of one accident going south, likely due to speed as there more traffic shortly ahead of where this car ran off the road and was on top of a small tree, lol. Everyone in that car seemed fine as they were all out of it and around the car on their feet
I've been to Florida a few times. Once to Disney world. That was fun with the kids, but I hated the humidity. I've also been down near the everglades for a conference. Loved seeing the aligators hanging out in the ditches along the side of the road.
We went down there in March, which is about the best time of the year according to my aunt who I finally met when was I down there. We went to the everglades, which was great. We were going to go on a night trip in the same place we went for a day trip to see the alligators, but my wife ended up not feeling well so we didn't do the night one. I could have gone by myself, but wasn't about to do that on my honeymoon, lol
Scott, a word of advice about Hawaii. Don't let anyone go out on a boat unless you're sure they won't get seasick. I went out on a snorkeling expedition and get sick; a lifeguard had to swim out to the boat and bring me back to shore on his surfboard. Pretty embarrassing!
awesome! June's choices were very difficult to choose from. So many good books. I'm ready for The Troop.
Would anyone vote for Last Days by Adam Nevill or Ex-heroes by Peter Klines? Sorry, I'm just thinking about future nominations.
That's what this Thread was first made for addy. I don't have last days but I have apt 16 and banquet for the damned I would vote for
