I can wait a week, I just started Ratings Game anyway. Just start a thread in the buddy reads folder when you are ready. I may be the only one in the buddy read that is reading it for the first time but I trust you all not to spoil anything.

message 105: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Has anyone read Hunting Season by Blake Crouch and Selena Kitt? I want to buy it but wanted some other opinions since my phone isn't connecting to the net so well.

message 106: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I can lend it to you addy, it is very short and imo disappointing.

message 107: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments What's imo? Sorry not sure what that means.

I'm in the house now, give me a few minutes and I will send it to you

message 110: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Oh ok. Thanks! That's a bummer. I'll prob be disappointed too. Thanks anyway. I'll give it a try.

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
It's not bad, just forgettable, predictable, and short.

what ian rob wright books would you guys vote for? how about david wellington? those two authors are both sitting at the top of my to read list and i have never read anything by either of them.

message 113: by Kate (new)

Kate | 1106 comments Mod
I have a ton of Ian Rob Wright reads that I haven't touched. I would like to read: Animal Kingdom by Iain Rob Wright Ravage An Apocalyptic Horror Novel by Iain Rob Wright or The Housemates by Iain Rob Wright . I have quite a few more but those are the ones I'm interested in reading first.

For David Wellington I have Plague Zone by David Wellington Rivals by David Wellington Vampire Zero A Gruesome Vampire Tale (Vampires, #3) by David Wellington and Monster Island (Zombies, #1) by David Wellington

All Robert mccamon books are on sale today, any suggestions for next month's nomination.

I am in the mood for Dan Simmons or f Paul Wilson, what books by those authors would people vote on? I'm kind of in the mood for another epic, the terror worked well as a group read. Had anyone read his new one yet?

message 116: by Scott (new)

Scott (ttownscott) I have The Abominable but haven't started it yet. On the Dan Simmons group those that have read it did not seem to like it as much as The Terror. I'd definately be up for a Dan Simmons though no matter what is picked.

I kind of want to read Summer of Night

message 118: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I'm reading Summer of Night. It's really good. The Terror kind of lost me, but this one I'm enjoying. I've got The Keep by Wilson, but I think some ppl have read that already.

message 119: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments I'd be interested in reading from F Paul Wilson if it is suggested, possibly Summer of Night. I plan on reading my newest book from F Paul either later this month or next month, but won't be nominating it as it is the book from the newest Maelstrom set of books from Thunderstorm Books, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one here who has it.

I am tempted to nominate Night of the Wendigo by William Meikle as it is very suitable for winter reading.

I have night of the wendigo in print, I might vote for that.

message 121: by Scott (new)

Scott (ttownscott) I have Night of Wendigo as well. Looks like we'll be starting the year with some good options.

Normally I would have put the suggestion thread up yesterday but we have an extra week so I figured I would do it next Sunday. I guess it won't hurt to have extra time to suggest though right? If I get a chance I will make it tonight.

message 123: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Would anyone be interested in reading Flesh and Blood by Masterton? I think it was nominated before.

message 124: by Kate (new)

Kate | 1106 comments Mod
I would, Addy. I bought it a few months ago and haven't got round to reading it yet.

message 125: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Cool. Maybe I'll nominate it then.

message 126: by Andy (new)

Andy (manicsloth) | 787 comments I'd read Flesh and Blood.

message 127: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments I'd probably read that too, as I recently got the eBook of it

message 128: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Great! I haven't read anything by him yet and I've heard he's good.

message 129: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
How about Hurt me and addy are going to buddy read it anyway but it sounds like something that would work for the group being a thriller. We are reading another non thriller by the same author that is really good

message 130: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Addy, is that ok with you if I nominate it?

message 131: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Sure. My only concern is its not available is it?

message 132: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Oh yea I forgot, never-mind.

message 133: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Its ok. Perhaps there is one available. I like this author and was gonna see what else she wrote that would be of interest.

message 134: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
If anyone wants to buy it in print your welcome to join the buddy read when it starts though.

message 135: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Ah, I didn't really find anything. I was thinking about John Farris. I have a ton of his books. Anyone vote for Wildwood?

message 136: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
For a two novella suggestion would anyone vote on this
The Dunwich Horror by hp lovecraft and The Dunwich Romance the unofficial sequel by Edward Lee

message 137: by Kate (new)

Kate | 1106 comments Mod
No kindle book of The Dunwich Romance. :(
I'd be interested in reading some H.P. Lovecraft as I've only read The Call of Cthulhu.

I could have swore that came out at the same time as Sixty-Five Stirrup Iron Road a week or two ago. I got review copys for both from deadite press so if not it will be out soon. Guess I will save that suggestion for another month.

message 139: by Kate (new)

Kate | 1106 comments Mod
I thought that as well. You're right though, it'll be out shortly.

message 140: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I'd love to read Lovecraft. I almost bought one the other day but it was pricey.

message 141: by Justin (new)

I just checked and the print version came out the same time as the ebook of sixty five stirrup iron road.

You can get the complete lovecraft on Amazon for free. Give me a few minutes and I will look for it and get you a link.

message 143: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Awesome! Thanks! In that case, I might vote for those. I have the romance one, but i don't think i was sure about it.

message 144: by Justin (last edited Dec 12, 2013 01:09PM) (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Yea you should have gotten the same review copies as I did. I forgot that the lovecraft collection is free on the person who put it together fan site but cost a little bit on Amazon. I know you don't have the means to download from a site and get it to your kindle but I can send it to you if you want. The copyrights are all expired and it is free anyway.

message 145: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Sure. Whenever you have time.

message 146: by Andy (new)

Andy (manicsloth) | 787 comments I'd be in for Lovecraft or starting Barker's The Books of Blood.

I've also had my eye on The Book of Paul by Richard Long which is available for .99 right now from Amazon.

message 147: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I'd love to do books of blood. Have the first book so far. Wow. Alot of good suggestions!
