It's kind of cool, but requires a smart phone. They don't make a PC application that I'm aware of. Wish they did.
A bright red bird visited today but it wasn't a cardinal; about the same size. do you have an idea of what kind of bird it is?

Jim, I think the first link I gave explains it better (and then it provides the link you gave). When I go to the link you gave, it's not clear what it's for.
PS-I mean that, although at your link it says: "Merlin Bird ID App", it doesn't explain it as well as my link. (I'm the kind of reader who needs a lot of "expostion". LOL)

Thanks for the link. We'll study it closely and see if we can identify our visitor. Just found moths in our finch feed. Have you ever encountered that problem?
