Me too, Olivia!! Thanks, Missy!

Do any of you have a ship for Lidia? Her former lover Jacobo or the royal prosecutor Fourneau? Because I can't choose!

Royal prosecutor? I'm liking where this is going:) Things have been hectic, so I haven't gotten to this yet, but I think this shall be my Lidia weekend coming up. And then I shall answer your very important question:)

Alright, I'm 4 episodes in so far. This is such a fabulous little show. I say ‘little’ because it pretends to be that--a mystery/case to solve each episode--but it's so much more. There is such artistic flair in its creation—from the way Lidia’s outfits set her apart like a bright spark against a dark background to the choice of storyline and even the soundtrack.
Missy, I’m going to say that Prosecutor Fourneau has my attention. He’s coming across (so far) as a wonderfully sympathetic but doomed hero. Who can resist a doomed hero? Hopefully, not Lidia;)
But the love that stands head and shoulders above the rest (and actually brought me to tears in the fourth episode) is Lidia’s relationship with her brother Enrico. Enrico’s character is absolute perfection, and both the writers and actors have seriously nailed the sibling dynamic between him and Lidia.
Two more episodes to go!

I completely agree, Missy. I just finished the last episode . . . it's not the ending we necessarily want, but I think it's very possibly the kind of ending we need. I love, love, love the final scene with Lidia in the square. We've all been there in one way or another, feeling like that. And just the way she lifts her head to look at the camera and carry on--fabulous!

I just realised that Samantha James had passed away in 2021, which led me on a deep dive of my favourite authors who got me into HR, I already knew we had sadly lost Johanna Lindsey but now I’ve been checking up on all my gals and Julie Garwood too 😩. I’m so sad.
There’s not much point to this post other than, I’m not okay.

Yes - it feels like an era has passed!!! These authors sometimes feel like good friends. :(

I’m not sure which language they’re speaking but they speak pretty fast that I can barely finish reading the subtitles.

Also, this teaser for season 4 of Bridgerton is a month old, so maybe you have already watched it. In the case that some of you haven’t, here it is!

I'm just seeing this post now, Missy! Thanks! The leading man in The Lady's Companion looks really familiar to me, and I just figured it out: the same actor stars in another Spanish romance on Netflix called A Perfect Story (that one is contemporary though). Still, I ended up watching the whole thing:)

Hello, dear readers ;)
I've lost my Z-library account, and I can't talk to support in the site, does any of you know how can get in contact with someone from the site? I've already tried the email support@z-lib.se, but it comes back as "Message not delivered"
Thanks,
Sandra

(BTW, the series has also had Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius, and Mozart: Rise of Genius. Both brilliant series, especially the Mozart one).

Thanks, Lauren, it seems a lost cause. Did you create a new account?

Does that help?
I think the Z-Library is a bit crazy, a few days I couldn't download anything without paying now I can. I will sa e your sites @Lauren, thanks!!!

According to the author on her Facebook, it's Part One, but there's no cliffhanger, and it should be read in tandem with the first book in the series (preferably after a few books) for context.

I have been doing my monthly moderator chores and some housekeeping on this site and noticed that this Group appears to have just turned 10 years old!!
The first post appears to have been on June 24 2015!!
Happy 10 year anniversary to all HRBC members - lets hope we can continue to some more years yet.

I'm on vacation, so I will talk with Susan to see if we can do something to celebrate in the next month! 🥳
The first ever BOTM was in July 2025 - and was Fires of Winter by Johanna Lindsay. I an old school medieval bodice ripper!
