That IS a good price for GBs new release. Thank you for the heads up."
You're so welcome. x

YES YES! It's been and gone in a flash here in Australia. x

So... I am on a Historical Romance - Magic/Fantasy kick.
I've started a list if anyone has any books of this sub-genre to contribute, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you in advance. x

Insolent by Kerrigan Byrne was a very good novella. I didn't usually read the type of books that you described but this surprised me with how much I enjoyed it.

"
Oh, thank you so much, Andrea!! That's exactly what I am looking for.
Yes, this isn't my usual read either, but, it seems it's my latest fancy for whatever reason my book-brain is lacking, LOL.

I think I've read all of Kerrigan Byrne's novellas and I enjoyed all of them. :)

With me it depends, but then there's not a lot of HR with PN elements. But I loooved Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series!
Yup. I loved it! Well, the first couple of books weren't particularly good IMO but when you reach Kiss of a Highlander, it just keeps getting better!

It's given me a nice list of reads.
I have to admit, I am loving the HR/paranormal I am reading now:

I think it could become my next obsession. LOL
I'm not into the vampire, shape-shifty thing so I've steered clear of HR/paranormal until now. I like the fantasy/magical elements that make a story sweet and different.

I remarked in a previous post somewhere on GR that I'm not big with HR/PNR combo. But the truth is, I had read novella "Alrek" late last year with Viking H and "Insolent" had a Viking H too. That is what attracted me to Insolent.
Speaking of Kerrigan Byrne, she has a new book due to release on the 1st of September - The Highwayman. I've seen nothing but good reviews from those who received ARCs!

OhhH!! thank you for the reminder. I did mark that one for read. I will put it in my now reading so I don't forget again. x

Ohhh!! Thanks for this one, Kat.
Here is my pick:
#1 - (Of course) Travis can raid me anyday
#7 - I am an expert in lost hammers
#9 - Waving @Odinson...and drowning
(*sigh* now i need to try and concentrate on my work)

Can I make a request for our book for December or January being Georgian or early or late era Victorian? Lots of lovely choices in these time periods.
Thanks Mods, for starting this group.
Georgian sounds good to me too. I haven't read a lot from that theme. We've set themes for until December. So January ok with you ladies? :)
Ok, as an Asian, I wasn't aware that London still holds Seasons!

No idea who Boris Becker is and I didn't read the article entirely but "she is presented at Kensington Palace debutantes' dance considered pinnacle of London Season."
"The ball is considered the pinnacle event of the London Season, when debutantes make a first appearance in high society."
"However, the event - with tables costing several thousand pounds each - is now essentially open to anyone who can afford to attend. Many traditionalists have spoken of the loss of the ball's roots and royal patronage."

No wonder I didn't know him! I wasn't born until 90s. Hehe

Sure! Sounds good! :)

Whaaattt!! That's amazing.
Now, if I can only go back in time a few years *wink* and snag me a rich Londoner!!
But, not Becker, thanks. Anyone but...
