Yep! Just a cameo I guess, but it’s funny.

Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock are both 57! She does not look it, kind of nice to have the rolls reversed.

Jan (jan130) | 2701 comments Oh yeah that does look fun. Kind of Romancing the Stone + Indiana Jones had a baby?

Missy | 1485 comments Merry Christmas everyone! Did you all hear the news that Bridgerton is returning on March 25, 2022?!

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1240 comments Thanks Missy. I was only thinking of watching the Bridgrtons again yesterday, and wondering when the next series was going to start.

Merry Christmas to everyone 🎄🎁🥳

message 670: by Merry (new)

Merry (jewelhound) | 857 comments I am excited to see the next chapter in the series and see if they can match the first.

message 671: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1425 comments I know many disagree but the only reason I finished the show was bc I loved looking at Rege'-Jean Page. That man was downright sexy! I didn't enjoy the show when he wasn't onscreen. I'm hoping with season 2, I might care about the Brigerton family.

message 672: by Missy (last edited Dec 26, 2021 12:43PM) (new)

Missy | 1485 comments In case some of you have not watched this video of the Bridgerton cast reading The Duke and I, here it is! Enjoy! Unfortunately, no Rege-Jean Page.

Missy | 1485 comments Images from Bridgerton season 2!!!

https://www.eonline.com/news/1316855/...

Spoilers Alert on the article and interview video
If you have not watched the tv series nor read the books, don't read the article nor watch the interview video with Nicola Coughlan, because there are spoilers about Lady Whistledown's true identity.

Enjoy the pictures!

I am so excited! It’s not too far off now. About 2 months. Anthony and Kate’s book is among my faves in the series.

Missy | 1485 comments Oh, yeah. I’ve seen that. If I had known it was based on a book, I would have shared it here.

message 682: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1425 comments just watched HBO The Gilted Cage. did it remind anybody of Lion's and Lace by Meagan Mckinney ?? I hope the revenge is good.

message 683: by Missy (last edited Jan 24, 2022 08:10PM) (new)

Missy | 1485 comments @Joanna, I'm excited about season 2, too!
@Lauren, I haven't watched it yet, but now I'm intrigued!

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1240 comments I have started to watch series 1 again. Looking forward to series 2. Don’t know if we will get the other series you mentioned Lauren. But I will look out for it, as I have read the book 📖

message 685: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 584 comments @Lauren - I will be on the lookout for that one. I loved Downton Abbey so I am hopeful this production will be good.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 584 comments Lauren wrote: "@lauren Downtown Abbey had Maggie Smith"

Yes, it did. She's superb.

message 688: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1425 comments @lauren God Maggie made Downtown Abbey. I haven't decided if lighting will strike twice for Jullian Fellows or is 4xs. I didn't read or watch his other two movies/books. The Gilted Cage has promise and one of Meryl Streep's daughters

Lisa | 5 comments hi I'm a new member, just made a mistake:

posted 2 introductions: should i delete most recent or 1st?

Sorry: there are 2 historical romance clubs with almost exactly same name, very confusing!

How many times welcome to post a day ( if its not a redundant mistake: I just thought of a fun thread🙂)

No worries Lisa, you’re good. This group was started from the HR group as a place to read along and discuss HR books. That’s why the similar names. The other group doesn’t allow group reads, or at least it didn’t use to. However, I recall it having lots of threads for recommendations.

Hi guys! To the readers of Portuguese language!!

Não faço ideia se as traduções são boas, mas as ilustrações são tão bonitas que acho que vou subscrever apesar de ter quase todos os livros

I also watched Belgravia and enjoyed it very much. The plots twists were a bit predictable but the costumes, scenery and acting were wonderful.

Minerva Spencer is interviewed on the podcast Poisoned Pen. What is so funny is I just finished a book by her and am now reading a mystery by her using another pen name and I had no idea they were the same person.

Again, if you do not know the identity of Lady Whistledown, do not watch the teaser. At least, stop at the 45 second mark.
