Split

Split is my NaNo from this past year. The main character is Melissa "Missy" Daines, and the story focuses on her transformation as she weathers family problems, book groups that aren't what they seem, and an onslaught of new people and their stories. You'll notice that I'm having a hard time with the summary. I suggest you don't judge the story by this and just try out the first few paragraphs.

I'm open to criticism, especially since this was written during NaNoWriMo and is even farther under the standard of "good" than most first drafts are. Just be gentle. I welcome comments that are specific and tell me that I'm doing too much info-dumping or that something sounds weird or that I'm not making things clear or that I could do with lumping a few paragraphs together. Comments like "This isn't very good", well, aren't very good. Anyway, I hope those of you who read it enjoy it.
