Idea to Help Get More Discussion Going

Hi Andree:
Sure -- well if we get some discussion going on each book you can come along later and post your thoughts. Good luck with all your summer reading! I saw you just started Message from Martha. I will be interested to see how that goes for you.
Bye for now- Sher

Rach- terrific idea. i had not thought about this, and I see there are discussion questions available online for this month's book. A good idea to check for future books. Thanks for the suggestion. Sher
When I set up the Bookshelf for the "Currently Reading" option, it DOES allow me to indicate who the moderator of that particular thread is. So if the "winning suggester" doesn't mind, I will make them the moderator for that particular book so they have leeway to start up these discussion questions.
I apologize that I can't do more activity with the individual discussions...between working FT, taking care of my horses, writing a novel in the wee hours of the morning, & trying to even locate some of these books, I'm afraid I'm quite behind this year! :)

Hi Becky:
That sounds like a good idea! That way if we have a question or comment about the book we can direct it to the moderator. In this instance for July -- I can "speak" directly to Ray, since I am pretty sure Desert Solitaire wins July. Terrific - yes, let's try this! Sher

I had an idea that might help us to increase our discussion of our monthly book.
What if the person who nominates the monthly winning book agrees to post some discussion questions, comments for discussions, or links to discuss? If you nominate the book, then probably you will read it, and you would have some interest in discussing it.
If folks would agree to carry a little discussion for their book, it might get us going in a more discussing direction.
I'd be happy to contribute what I can, if my book were to win. How about you?
Sher
