So I won't be reading this just yet XD My challenges are getting seriously crazy. I'm so pleased I'm reading as much as I am lately or I'd be in way over my head. And as CF doesn't count for any of those challenges just yet, I won't be reading it until potentially next week.

Maybe this year he has only lit the fuse on a bomb that the victors themselves have been building. Hoping someone would be able to detonate it. Perhaps thinking it would be me in my bridal gown. Not knowing how much I rely on Cinna's talents, whereas Peeta needs nothing more than his wits. (hide spoiler)]

“Only with the ear the Capitol reconstructed,” I say. Guess who I'm not fooling with that story? Beetee. Because surely he remembers that he showed me how to spot a force field, and probably it's impossible to hear force fields, anyway. But, for whatever reason, he doesn't question my claim. Just started the Hunger Games!

I read this series before Goodreads but haven't reread in a while. Forgot how emotional it is!

On Peeta and Katniss:
(view spoiler)[I really struggled to see Peeta as a love interest in the books the first time I read them years ago. I now realise, being completely honest, it was because I had seen the movie and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta first. So of course my heart was set on Liam Hemsworth's Gale.

I think Gale is still my favourite (which might change in the other books) but I am starting to have much more of an appreciation for Peeta as a character and his charm and am not so fixated on the fact I didn't like Josh Hutcherson playing him. Personal growth maybe? XD (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Honestly, Rue's death was heartbreaking but what really made me cry was DIstrict 11 sending the bread afterwards. Imagining how much it must have cost the community honestly made me tear up. (hide spoiler)]

End of Part Two (view spoiler)[Again I say Katniss is the worst rebel ever, but I love it because it adds such a twist to the story and character development. (hide spoiler)]

Johanna has the best sense of humour in this whole book. Honestly wish she was a real person with a stan up comedy show that specialises in sarcasm and satire.

This is honestly my favourite book in the series so far, so much happens yet it's not hard to keep up at all and never feels like the book is dragging because of how Collins interacts with the reader.
