I just finished Everlost. I liked the ending and it wasn't entirely what I was expecting.

(view spoiler)[ Okay. As this series as progressed I'm finding it to get better and better and better. And each books first few chapters are great.

Neal is able to start a book that continues with the story but also gives the reader a review of the first book.

I really like Allie. She has her faults but we all do. As for Mary. Yikes. It's getting good. (hide spoiler)]

I love the chapter names. It's supposed I look forward to as reading because some chapters have a creative name such as chapter 33 Creature Discomforts.

I feel bad for Milos and Moose. Knowing what condition their bodies in is most likely a shock. I wonder if Allie will see what condition her body is in. (hide spoiler)]

I liked seeing that Allie's family was with her on Christmas in the hospital. But it seems like they only come on Holidays????

It was shocking that Mary sent someone to kill Allie's body. I should have not been shocked but I was. At least Allie was there to stop it.

I'm buddy reading with Jora starting on September 15th 2015

Chapter 1-4:

(view spoiler)[I'm liking his style of writing. It isn't over flowed with description. I personally find I can fall into imagery easier with this book. I was grabbed by the second page and that's still a positive so far. At first I did get confused about who was in what car. I thought Allie was in Nicks car and they were sibling. This is because Neal Shusterman jumps fast with his choppy sentences when he writes a suspenseful scene. That is actually the correct way to write suspense but can get a bit to fast pace for some readers. this was the only time I got confused though.

Allie seems to have leadership ability. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes the leader and planner of the group. This could be because she's the oldest though.

He has introduced a scary sounding monster. We now get a villain to move along suspense. I want to know what this monster looks like. I must read on. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 4-8

(view spoiler)[ I like the name and idea of Afterlights. It is very creative and the definition is believable to the story.

I didn't like that Lief did not go with them. He's going to be all alone again.

Mary Hightower theory of the Gravity Fatigue is unpleasant. I would not want to be stuck at the core of earth for eternity. I hope it never happens to any of them.

It makes sense that kids in the Everlost would need position such as a Finder.

I was surprised when Mary was actually able to taste. I would think they wouldn't be able to.

I like how Allie thought of loosing her dad. He ether survived or got to where he was going.

I find Nick to be very intuitive to what Everlost is like.He is caring and logical.

I find it strange that Marry wrote a book. She expects almost everyone to have read it but other information the the story contradicts that. They loose memories after time. Its not like everyone has books to read hear so eventually the knowledge and memory to read would leave. Also how did she make more then 1 copy and if so how when your in a would where you don't have a photo copywriter a press company.

Jonnie-O seems like a bully and a jerk. He is like a little warlord type because they have to exist and get what they can to be content living in Everlost.

New villain obstetrical in there quest to find a way to pass on which is Jonnie-O gang. I still want to know if the McGill is real.

I'm so happy that Lief came back and saved them. I didn't want him to be lonely again.

I'm a little slower for reading atm I have come down with the flue.

Chapter 8-15

(view spoiler)[ I understand how Allie feels about Mary,she has her guard up and I think they should. they're new and already felt how enemy's here react. Nick is being left to feel gratitude which is another emotion to meeting Mary. He is tired of walking and see's a place he could be restful at and at peace with others.

Allie sticks to her quest even if things seem better like staying with Mary and the other kids but she has this gut feeling its not.

It was sad about Mary's brother and how he sunk into the ground to the center of the earth. She should share that in her books to keep her brothers memory forever. Also green should need to know what can happen if you go home. Its important. For a character that is supposed to be very intelligent and wise, you'd think she would have figured that out.

I', glad that they explain how Mary reprints her books to give to new souls.

I'm confused again. How can Allie, Lief and Nick leave Mary's towers during a storm?

1) If the storm is from the living world then why wouldn't other kids still be outside.Its suppose to pass right thru them. The author makes it sound like the storm would stop them from going out side but why?Also if rain doesn't manifest like rain why does lightning?

I agree with Allie over Mary. I wouldn't want to do the something for an eternity.

Can you imagine being stuck in a huge pickle jar.

Chapter 15 to end of book

(view spoiler)[ Interesting how the McGill who is really Mikey has feeling for Allie. I like how he purposely warped his appearance to go with his power hungry mindset.

Allie is a strong willed, intelligent and talented girl who is more courageous then anyone so far in the book.

Allie is very clever when she thinks up the 12 steps to figure out skinjacking and the McGill believes her. My favorite step has to be when she says he has to be selfless.

Multiple times I felt sorry for the McGill.

I liked the end but Marry has her priorities really screwed. I think in the next book shes going to come to a realization she can't take kids coins. They need to pass on. (hide spoiler)]
