Today was supposed to be Leo's first day at work at his new job because now he wasn't in Australia his mother forced him to start working since she thought it would be a good experience for him and they needed the extra money. His father had let and their family had only one income since then. His mother had ton of contacts around town for jobs, so she me her son pick what kind of job he wanted. He had decided to get a job at the local convenient store as a cashier, but he had to work from six to ten. At least he got a employee discount on snacks, so he thought about buying some ice cream to surprise Ana with. She would really love that.After his boss taught him everything he needed to know he headed out telling him that he would come back at the end of his shift leaving Leo alone for the next couple hours. He wondered what his life was going to become now. He was obviously an idiot for losing his scholarship and it didn't matter how well he played soccer at the moment because he wasn't even on a team. He hadn't made any friends since he came back and Ryu had seemed to have moved on with his life. He wondered if he had missed him the whole time he was gone or he simply never wanted to see his face again. If he had been in Ryu's shoes he would have probally never wanted to see him again after breaking his heart like that. He kinda wished he wasn't such a dick when they broke up, but he couldn't do anything about it now it was the past.
Ryu sat at home, locked in his room as he read a book, though he looked completely bored while reading it, but he probably was. He had read all of the books in his room at least 15 times each. He leaned on his hand as he sat up on his bed, those red eyes grazing over every little word. That was until his mother came upstairs, knocking first and then pushing the door open for him. "Day, sweetie. I need you to do something for me...."The conversation ended up with Ryu walking out of the house with a backpack on, wearing this. He pulled up his hood a little more as he walked, pulling his headphones over his head as his long legs carried him towards the convenience store that he always went and bought fruits for his family. He sighed softly, pushing into the store and walking towards things that he knew where they were. Though, there was one problem. There wasn't a pack of his favorite sodas his mother told him that she would buy him if he were to go out and do this for her.
He rose his eyebrow, tilting his head to the side rather adorably, though, it was more sexy coming from him. He turned and looked around the place, his eyes landing directly on the orange haired guy he tried not to look at earlier. He winced slightly, looking away and tried to find it by himself before he was forced to go up and ask him. "Uh... Hey..." He said, rubbing the back of his head, throwing off his headphones so he could hear him. "Do you have anymore of my favorite pop? It hasn't changed through the years. There's none out."
His thoughts were interrupted when the bell began to ring meaning a customer had opened the door. He turned smiling only to see Ryu walk in and completely ignore him as he walked towards the drink section. He was surprised to see him here, but remebered his home wasn't too far away from here if they were still living in the same house. Leo wondered what was he exactly buy as he looked away realizing he had been staring at him whole time he had saw him. He didn't want to come off as creepy or as if he wasn't over their since he had moved on. Hearing his foot steps coming towards him his eyes looked up from the sports magazine he had been looking through to see Day walked over to the counter taking off his headphones, he wondered what he needed since there was no other way he was going to talk to him for no reason. He stared at him taking in his bad boy look and realizing how hot he looked causing him to stutter a little, "O-okay, let me go look in the back and check if we have any of your favorite soda. You can... just wait here. I'll be back." Leo made his way in the back looking around. He had remebered his favorite soda with ease. They did date for sometime, so he had took it upon himself to remeber small trivial things about Day. He had wanted to be a good boyfriend at the time, so it had been essential to remeber. He wondered if Ryu still remebered all the little things they had found out about each other while they dated. It wasn't that weird to remember, right? He looked around before finding his favorite soda and carrying a pact to the front counter, "Found it."
Ryu was trying his hardest not to blush bright red with what was going on. He looked away from him, rubbing the back of his head and sighing softly. He was happy that he got to see him, but he didn't know if it was really a good thing that he saw him. I knew I never got over him... He sighed, watching him go into the back after he had that stammering session with himself. Ryu waited for him, pulling out his phone and typing something to Kade about the big game. He was stoked for this Saturday, it was only four more days away! He rubbed the back of his head again, knowing that he was going to end up calling him soon. That or Kade would end up calling him. Whatever came first.He looked up when Leo came out of the back. He looked at the bottled soda in a container of six. It was Strawberry Fanta type Mexican drink. It was his favorite. He reached down, taking it from him so he didn't have to carry it, as he usually did with everyone. "Thanks." He looked down at it, his mouth watering. "My mother said she'd buy me some if I went to the store for her. I wasn't missing out." He laughed, then walked up to the counter with him, rubbing the back of his head. He was nervous, "Your favorite kind of this is still the orange, right?" He asked, patting one of the bottle caps.
Leo was a little surprised when Ryu took the soda pack from his hands noticing that their hands almost touched. He ran a handthrough his crazy orange hair feeling like an idiot for noticing such a thing. He noticed Day was being kinda talkative like everything was okay between them when they weren't. He had promised Kade he that he wasn't supposed to hurt him though. He watched Day noticing how nervous he seemed and was suprised to hear him remember his favorite soda causing him to smile a little. Ot made him feel normal for still knowing Ryu's favorite soda now. His gaze turned down as he began to ring him up, "Yep, it's still my favorite." He didn't want to get all buddy buddy with him though so he decided to be cold to him even though that's not be wanted to do in the back of his mind. Keeping him far away was the right thing to do in his mind though. He glanced up at his red eyes before looking away, "You know you should just forget about me Ryu. I mean he both changed a lot from back then, so we should just move on with our lives. You're total will be $6.87."
Ryu had a few things on the counter with some of the fruit. He was searching his pocket, pulling out the ten that his mother had given him to make sure that he had enough for everything knowing that it was going to come out around 7 bucks. Or somewhere around there. He had a smile smile on his face, nodding. "Alright. Didn't know for sure, tastebuds change." He looked up at him, their eyes meeting for a few seconds before those orange eyes fell and looked away from him.He blinked a few times in shock, not knowing how he zoned out for those few seconds when they were looking at each other. He started handing over the 10 when he said those words.... Those words that cut like a blade and ripped out his heart all over again. His once smiling face turned into a frown, his eyebrows furrowing. He took a step back from the counter, his arms hanging to his side, "I mean, I don't get what the big deal is. You can still be friendly with an ex." He said, "It's not the end of the world to have friends you've dated." He said back, just seeing if Leo was just trying to be strong. He didn't know. He handed the ten, debating to just say to keep the change, but then again, it wasn't his money to waste.
Taking the ten from his hand noticing how pained her looked by his harsh words, but he was doing the best thing for the both of them even though it meant he had to be the bad guy. He began to get his change knowing that Ryu would want to leave now after his mean words. His hands stopped moving after hearing his words and looked up at him in shock. This was his chance to start over win Day and become friends again. He could have his old life back starting with him. All those good times replayed in the back of his mind as he began to get a feeling of guilt in his stomach. He had hurt his ex in the end and now did he really want to do that to him again. He didn't want to hurt him again.He looked down gritting his teath before he finally manage to say, "I don't need friends, so just leave me alone." He had tears begin to form in his eyes as he handed him his change scared to look back into his eyes and realize his lie. He wanted to be his friend again, but scared to hurt him again by being close to him made Leo just want to push him farther and farther away from him. He just wished that they both jus moved on with their lives and forgot all about each other.
((GOSH! DON'T DO THAT! I was just looking to make sure I responded to this roleplay then the next second. "Caramel Cat commented on.... It scared me. XD))Ryu was waiting for him to say something, to say that they could be friends again. He could see those wheels turning in his head like he was always able to see in the past. But then he heard those words, the words that cut him like a blade. His eyes widened, breathing in shallowly. He took a step back, as if he was just punched in the face. He looked down at the food, snatching the money from him and turning on his heels with the things in his hands. He looked back for a few seconds. "I'm going to win the championships." He said. "you should watch." He turned back around and walked out of the store, the door sounding as if it was slammed open.
Ryu had tears forming in his eyes as he started to run back home, holding the things close to his chest. He just wanted to go home. He wanted to go into his room. That was, until he dashed right into Kade, throwing them both on their butts and he looked up at his friend, tears flowing down his face, his face contorted in such a pain that it just screamed broken heart.
Kade's eyes widened, seeing Ryu had a slice on his arm from the glass that was just shattered, the red juice dripping off of his body. He blinked a few times, looking at the food, then at his friend again. He stood up, offering to help Ryu up who just smacked his hand away, dashing the other direction and tried to get away from him. He was practically sobbing, though he was trying not to make any noise.
Kade, on the other hand, was furious. He knew what just happened. He looked at the food, sighing and seeing that it had been bruised. He picked it all up, saving the four bottles that survived the collision. He started back to the store and looked up, seeing that Leo was there. He narrowed his eyes, "I told you never to hurt him again." He hissed. He held all of the food, though it looked trashed anymore. He turned and went to grab the same stuff, but noticed the pop wasn't there that he needed. He sighed, "I'll go to the other store." He turned on his heels, stopping and looking at Leo again. "He doesn't deserve this. All he ever did was love you." And with that, he walked out.
((Sorry XD I didn't mean to frighten you!))Leo wanted to take the words back he didn't even need to look at him to know he had hurt Ryu. When he snatched away the money from his hands, he was too scared to look up his eye fixated on the counter not wanting to see his hurt face. He was taken back by his words since even after the terrible things he said, Day still told him to come to their match on Saturday. He jumped hearing the door slam open and ran his hand through his hair. He was a real dick for doing that he wished he could keep him say without hurting him, but that was the only thing to do to make him stay away.
The next thing he knew Kade had just walked through the door and was giving a look as if he wanted to kill him. He didn't blame him though because even he wanted to kill himself for being such an ass to probally the only person who wasn't going to give up on him no matter what he did to him. Leo was a out to go get some soda from the back for him when he was told that he was just going to go somewhere else. Staring back at Kade he realized he really hurt him this time and he knew that Ryu deserved much better than he could ever give him. That why he just wanted him to find someone else, so he wouldn't be hurt anymore by him.
((Family dinner time at Ryu's house because Leo lives in a tiny apartment with his family. Can you start?))

Ryu sighed as he got ready for the dinner that his family was having with another family friend that he wasn't so sure that he wanted to see. He wanted to bring Kade but someone got sick last minute. He pursed his lips, putting on his jacket (in picture above), a white shirt, and black pants. He walked around in only his white socks, leaning his head forward again in that blank, bored stare that he always had. He sighed again, pushing open his bedroom door and walking out to see his sister with her hair pinned up like usual, but she had chop sticks in her hair. She had a nice pretty dress shirt on with orange flowers, blue capris, and her own white socks.
He nodded to her, her grinning up at him. "How do I look?" he asked.
"Yeah, you look great." Ryu said, giving her a small smile as he stroked her hair softly, but not to mess it up like he normally would.
In the kitchen his mother was working on getting all of the food ready, a smile on her face. She had maroon hair like her two children. She took a plate of mashed potatos and handed them to Ryu, "Help me set the table? Please?" She asked, a nice smile on her face. She didn't have the shark teeth, no, they got that from their father who hadn't arrived home just yet.
Ryu started grabbing the food and setting the large table up nicely. There was a spot for both families, set up so they could sit anywhere they wanted to. Ryu figured he was probably going to end up sitting the farthest from Leo, unless their parents thought that it would be funny to put them together.... Like he thought that the mothers might do.
Leo who had been stuffed in the house ever since he hurt his Ryu. Well at least whenever he didn't have work mopping around the house. He felt terrible and half the time he couldn't sleep and didn't eat as much as usual. He just wanted to be in his house for the rest of his life and not talk to anyone. Sadly his mother had other plans for him and since their mothers were like best friends since they were little. His mom thought that since he had just came home from Australia that they should have a big family dinner together like old times.He decided to dress up since his mother would chew him out if he didn't. He wore his nice white shirt with his black slacks it's not like he had much of a choice of what he got to wear since that this was is only dress clothes. He looked at himself in the mirror and realized how bad he looked with his bags under his eyes and his crazy hair. Leo ran a hand over his face how was he going to show his face to the person he had hurt.
"Brother, it's almost time to go. Can you help me fix my hair?" She asked as she tugged at his pant leg looking at him. She was wearing a pink dress that his mother had stitched it by hand since making dresses for her daughter was so cheaper than buying one from the store.
He gave her a smile pulling himself together for his little sister. Leo began to fix her hair putting her hair into two cute little piggy tails and his mother called them to the kitchen making him carry the cake that she had made for dessert for the dinner. They walked all the way to Ryu's house since their house wasn't that far from their own house. The closer they got to his house the more nervous he began to get feeling like he was going to puke or cry maybe ly both he couldn't tell. Suddenly everything became real as he stood in front of his door and his mother rang the doorbell, "Okay guys be on your best behavior for things to go smoothly."
Jay got up when she heard the door and ran to go get it. She pulled it opened and showed her fanged smile. "Welcome to our home!" She cheered and opened the door wider. "Come on in!" Ryu tensed, his mother coming over and rubbing his back, "Ryu... Everything will be okay." She whispered to him, starting to give a massage to him.
He nodded, "I'm sorry." He whispered. He looked over at her. "I'll be good." He hung his head, just trying to rest. He breathed sharply, "I'm ready."
His mother nodded and got the last of the food on the table and went to meet the family. "Welcome! Ryu is in the other room and Ricky is on his way home."
Ana and Rose, his mother, smiled brightly when Jay answered the door following her inside the house and Leo awkwardly followed them inside faking a smile to his sister. Rose walked over to Ryu's mother and gave her a hug since she was quite the hugger, "Thank you so much for inviting us over for dinner again."
Leo and Ana added in in sinc, "Thank you."
"We brought a cake. I'll go take it to the kitchen." Leo walked over towards the kitchen seeing Ryu there. He stared at him for a moment before moving to place the cake down. He was really nervous now and didn't know what to say to him or how to start his apology. He opened his mouth to say something to him, but was interrupted when Ana entered the room.
Following her brother into the kitchen seeing Day there, her face instantly lit up. She ran over to him giggling and gave him a hug, "Mr. Shark Man! I missed you." She was happy to see her friend.
His mother, Janna, smiled over at her, wrapping her arms around her and hugging her back. "Welcome." She said, "I'm happy to have you all over." She took a step back and started leading them into the house. "Oh... the cake looks amazing. Thank you." She said with a small smile, going and setting up the rest of the table.Ryu looked up, seeing Leo in the room as he started getting the drinks ready, everyone else in the other room. He was about to say something to Leo, but he stopped and looked down at the little girl who ran in. He knelt down in front of her, smiling at her. "Hey there." he said, opening his arms to give her the hug. "I missed you, too. I'm happy to see you." He said, rubbing her head.
Her mother looked around at their house taking in how beatiful their house was. She began to chart with Janne like they always did when they saw each other. Rose followed her to the dinning room admiring the food and place settings.Ana glance back over at her brother before smiling at both of them slowly leaving the room, "You guys look like you need to talk." She headed towards the dinning room smelling all the delicious food.
Shoving his hands in his pockets he watched his little sister leave before his attention was back on him. He worked up his courage to finally speak saying, "Ah, Ryu, I-I ... I'm sorry. I was really a... well, you know, a dick to you." He ran a hand through his messy hair as he took a drink from him before leaving the room without another word. He didn't want to say anymore than that since he knew his mom would be furious with him if he hurt Day's feelings when he was supposed to be on his best behavior.
Ryu looked over at him when he started talking to him, his eyebrows straight like he was bored, like usual. He blinked a few times, nodding to him and looking down. He didn't know how to take that, but his heart hammered in his chest. He was sorry? But then he just walked out of the room? He didn't understand. He sighed, closing his eyes and starting to walk out of the room, giving a smile to Rose and bowing slightly to her. He finished setting up the table. The only orange filled cup was Leo's.Ryu had made sure he had his favorite drink instead of just giving him what the rest of the people were having. He sat down at his normal spot with his sister right next to him. He wasn't smiling that much, just looking down at the plate.
Jay looked at the family, hearing the front door open.
Ryu looked up to see his father come in, blinking a few times. "Oh, I am late, aren't I?"
"Oh no, you're just on time." Janna said, going over and patting his chest, giving him a hug and then took his jacket off so he could sit down at the table. She was always an energetic woman, so she ended up doing these things just so she could move.
She sat next to Rose and her husband, a huge smile on her face.
Ricky looked at Rose, then the other two kids. "Welcome to our home. It's a pleasure to see you again."
Leo was sitting across from Ryu and noticed how he was the only person with the different drink. He tried not to think too much of it since it scared him to think if he meant something more since he didn't know what to do anymore when it came to him and when their father walked he glanced up from his drink.Ana waved at Ricky when he walked in the house smiling at him happily.
Rose looked like she was enjoying herself since she wanted to do something like this when the boys were dating, but never had a chance to. "The honor is all ours. Thank you for inviting us. Anyways are you excited for your big game this weekend Ryu? I heard you're the star player. Only if you and Leo were on the same team again. I'm sure Leo would love that, right sweetheart?"
Leo was a little surprised by his mother's question his ears turning a little pink hating how he agreed to be on his best behavior, "Yeah, mom."
Ricky smiled at her, nodding to her. "It's nice to see you again though. All of you." He smiled as he looked at all of the food. "And Janna, you made a beautiful dinner. And is that Rose's cake?" He asked, looking at the beautiful cake, then looking over at Rose. "It better taste as perfect as always or I'm going to be upset." He said. Janna looked at her husband and bumped his shoulder with hers, a nice smile on her face.
Ricky had dark red hair, almost looking like blood and the full blown shark teeth like Ryu.
When Ryu was mentioned, his head popped up and looked over at Rose, blushing a bit for a few seconds but he smiled after that. "Yeah, I'm stoked. Kade and I are going to kick butt." He said, grinning. But when she said that it would be nice if Leo and him were on the same team, he blushed even deeper and looked at his plate, thinking that it would be nice. He glanced at Leo in front of him, his shoulders hanging slightly. Did he actually feel that way? Or was he only doing this for his mother?
Leo looked up and made eye contact with him before looking away shyly. He noticed how much soccer still meant to him which made him a little happy that he still hasn't changed. He didn't understand why Kade seemed to be all ways around Ryu and he felt a little jealous. He didn't want to believe there was something going on between them. Nothing could be going on, right? The more he thought about it made him think the possibility made more sense now.Rose smiled at Day saying, "Well, I wish you good luck at your game. I would go, but I have work. I'm sure that Leo will go and watch you play though."
Ryu nodded to her with a huge smile on his face, that cute one that showed that even though he was much older, larger, and taller, he was still the same Ryu. He started dishing up his plate along with Jay who was smiling to herself. "Kade and I have been practicing non stop." He said, "We'll do great and make all of you proud." He didn't think that he was talking about Kade too much. Kade meant a lot to him, what was so wrong with that?Jay giggled, "you and him sure got close."
"Well yeah, I mean, we spend most of our time together. You know how much I've been over at his house, I hardly even leave at night." He explained.
Ricky laughed, "Come on, let's not talk about someone that isn't here." He said, waving his hand. "Now, Leo, what made you come back so soon? I didn't expect to see you until you graduated."
Kade, Kade, Kade. He never guessed for once that he would get sick of someone talking about him, but he did. As he loaded his plate with food, he found himself jealous of Kade more and more as they continued to talk about him. It was obvious that Ryu and him were closer than he though and it seemed that they had something going on between them. He felt a little hurt as he looked down at his food realizing how it had been such a mistake coming here. When Ricky change the topic he was happy for everyone to stop talking about Kade, but once his father turned his attention to him he wished he didn't ask that. "Ah, I kinda lost my scholarship when they decide that only people who make all A's deserve scholarship and since we didn't have the money to pay for school. I had to come back home." He shrugged I'm just happy to be back home now though."Ana smiled at his father saying with her mouth full of food, "Yep brother came back, so I get to spend time with him."
"Honey how many times do I have to tell not to talk with your mouth full?" Rose scolded her wishing she would have better manners.

Ryu leaned against the table, but didn't put his elbows on it. He ate quietly, using chip sticks instead of normal utinsles, which was normal, he always did that. He thought it made eating more fun. He picked up a piece of stake, chewing with those sharp teeth. He blinked as he listened, wondering why he would do that. He knew he was never good with grades like that. He looked down, taking another and biting into it."Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that." Ricky said, frowning and looking at him. "Well, I hope you like it here just as much." He smiled. "Ryu and you can hang out again more, right?"
Ryu coughed, wiping his lips with a napkin to hide the huge frown over his face. His heart hammered looking at his ex... He was still in love with him....
He hadn't expected that question and caught him a little off guard. His gaze shifted to Ryu when he coughed and he answered trying to seem like the question didn't phase him, "Well, with work and school and everything else I don't know when I'll have time to hang out, but I would be happy to hang out with him again. I know Ana would love to as well, isn't that right sis?" He didn't want to tell Day's father that he wanted to avoid talking with his son at all costs, so he had decided to tell a little white lie.Ana grinned saying without any food in her mouth, "Yeah, me and my big brother would love to play with him."
Ryu looked at them, his hand going up to his heart for a few seconds, he started to look pale, hating his mother for setting this up, though he wanted that all, too. He blinked a few times, trying to calm himself down.Jay noticed and reached over, putting her hand on his knee which made him flinch, his mother looking up at him. "Ryu, can you please go and get me a sprite? Your soda isn't settling well with me." She said, patting her stomach. She gave him the look that a mother always gave when she was telling her child to take it easy.
Ryu nodded, pushing himself and leaving the room, and when he went into the kitchen the tears started flowing. This wasn't a good idea. How was he supposed to deal with hanging out with his ex if he was still this hurt from him? I never really loved you. It's just hormones. You'll get over it. He leaned on the counter, keeping the crying quiet, closing his eyes. Why haven't I been able to then!?
Ricky looked at his son, and he knew what was going on. He knew how a broken heart was. He had gotten it with Ryu's mother at one point, too. But here they were, together. He nodded to Leo, "Well, I hope that you do get to play with him someday."
Leo had knew him long enough to be able to tell when there was something wrong with him and he was getting that feeling from him now. He didn't understand what had done wrong this time it's now like he had been trying to push him away again this time, so he began to feel more confused than ever. He watched him walk towards the kitchen. He had to do something since it's not like he didn't care about him at all. "Uh, I got to go to the bathroom I'll be right back." He stood up quickly before making his away after Ryu. He followed him into the kitchen. Leo had quickly noticed him softly crying and quickly moved to get some tissues before inching over to him with a worried look plastered on his face,"Ryu?" He hadn't meant to made him cry.
Ryu could usually hear someone walk in, and he knew who it was. He stopped his tears, just sitting there like a statue. Not wanting to move, not wanting to be babied. He had taken a lot of help when he was a kid, but now he was a teenager and he was pretty good with taking care of himself. He looked over, taking the tissue and dabbing his eyes. "Yeah?" He asked, making his voice sound firm, since he had learned how to do that since he would sometimes break in his room and would be talked to through the door. He had to perfect it. He didn't look over at him, he just looked down, the tears beading still but he blinked them away or wiped them with his sleeve. He blew his nose and sighed softly.
He shifted uncomfortably not know to say as his ex eyes were glued on the floor, "You know I never wanted to hurt you when we broke up." He ran a hand through his orange hair before continuing, "So I'm sorry for everything I've done to you and pushing you to your limit. That wasn't my intentions." He hated to see people cry especially when it was his fault they were crying. Wipping one of his tears with his tissue in his hand, he mumured softly, "This is why I think it's better we stay away from each other, so I don't hurt you."
He blinked a few times, "You didn't ever love me." He said, pushing from the counter and turning to face him dead on. He looked scary. Those shark teeth that used to be adorable were now terrifying. 
He looked away when he wiped away that tear, pinching his teeth together that fit together too perfectly. "Better for you? Better for me? Better for both? Maybe you need to look closer." He turned away from him, snatching a Sprite and walking out of the kitchen, trying to calm down his face before he went in, though, his father caught it right away, his eyebrows raised in shock. Now, Ryu had never been a kid that would speak up like that. He wasn't one that would actually say those strong words. He always was pretty quiet, but now, he spoke out. It was almost a 180 from how he normally was.
Ryu looked at his father, looking down again and breathing in again. Ryu had some anger issues since then.... He had hated himself, then hated someone else, then hated the world. It was an endless vicious cycle. He handed his mother the pop and sat back down, starting to eat again.
He wyws widdened at his harsh words since he had loved him amd still loved him, but he was scared tl admit bis true feelings. Leo suddenly felt a shiver of fear when he looked at him with his intense gaze. He knew if he wanted to Ryu could easily kick his ass since he was so much more bigger than him now. He knew that he had alway had a bad temper, but never did he think he would be the one where his hate was pointed towards. He listened to his angry words before he walked out of the kitchen. He just repeated his words over and over in his head. He had messed up big time like always, but at least Ryu didn't want to see him. Though he didn't know it that's what he wanted anymore as he thought about Ryu's words. He made his way back to the table quietly before he continued to eat. Now it was just awkwardly quiet between the two families.
Ryu kept eating, holding onto the chop sticks tightly, not like how you were supposed to. Ryu never was one that could.... be that angry. But now, he was just a ball of fury. He didn't look up at anyone, too scared to. He felt all of the eyes though on him and Leo, which made him want to just leave again. Ricky started up the conversation about some television shows that they used to watch and still did that they talked about all the time. He just wanted the families to talk. He wasn't angry with Ryu, he knew what he was going through. He was frustrated yes, but not angry. He was surprisingly a very understanding father.
Rose continued to chat with Ricky knowing that something must had happened between the two of them again. She wished they would just finally make up already since Leo had been so depressed and loney before without him. Even if they were just friends her son needed Ryu in his life. She knew that her stubborn headed son just didn't want to hurt him again since it really messed him up, so by staying away from him was his only option in his mind. She really hoped they would just talk it out between them though.Leo continued to shove food in his mout as his eyes began to tear up with guilt it not like be had wanted to hurt Day even more than he already had. He always seemed to hurt him not matter what he tried to do. He just didn't know what to do since there was no obvious way out of this to him.
Ryu didn't talk, he just looked at his food and ate with the chop sticks. He blinked a few times, just wanting to go to his room and read the book he had been reading earlier. He sighed, finishing his food and sighing softly. He reached over, picking out a few more peppers. He picked up more yellow ones, just chewing on them now. He sighed, then grabbing a few other pieces of meat as well.
Leo wiped his tears before they fell down his cheeks not wanting anyone to see him cry and Ryu especially. He just wanted to leave and go cry at home. This was getting to be too much for him and just wanted to run away from it all even though he knew it wasn't going to fix anything between them. It not like he had any friends to talk to about it either. His whole life was just a mess now and everything had just went wrong for him in the last couple days.
Ryu looked up, hearing someone talk towards him. He blinked a few times, looking at his mother who was motioning to the kitchen. "The cake." She said, "Can you go get it for us?"Ryu nodded, getting up and going into the kitchen, getting new plates ready and brought in the cake. Jay started to get the other plates, clearing the table of things that weren't needed. She walked in, putting them in the sink. She walked back in and watched her older brother put the cake down, then setting up the plates. He went over his shoulder and put them down, finally, he got to Leo, putting it over his shoulder, brushing his shoulder and side of his neck on accident. He sat down in his chair, starting to cut the cake in even sections.
Leo had been a little excited to eat some cake since his mother always made tasty cake. He watched Ryu out of the coner of his eye as he left going to the kitchen. He his heart began to beat a little faster when Ryu made his way over to set down his plate for cake when suddenly he felt his arm brush up againts his shoulder and neck. His face was suddenly on fire hating how he was so easily affected by Ryu. Rubbing the back of neck where he had touched him and kept his eyes lowered on his plate feeling like idiot.
Ryu didn't even notice that he had brushed against him as he started giving out the slices of cake, most of it being taken by all of the family members. He had a small smile on his face. He did enjoy when families got together. It was his favorite thing in the world, he just wished it wasn't so awkward with Leo sitting almost across from him. The last person he served besides himself was his sister, to which he leaned over and plopped a kiss on her forehead. "Here you are lil shark." He said, sitting back down and putting his slice on his plate, making sure everyone got one before he got one. That's just how he was. Take care of other people first, he could wait.
He ate his cake using his fork watching Ryu. He was always so kind to everyone. No wonder to was liked by so many people. It just came natural for him half of the time. Leo didn't say anything keeping his eyes down as he ate his cake not wanting to say anything.Ana ate her cake happily getting some on her face and looked at Ryu asking cutely, "Mr. Shark can we play together this weekend. You said you were going to, but you never came over to play wih me." She really wanted to play with her new friend.
Ryu ate with a fork as well with the cake, finding it a little hard to get all of a section of cake with using chopsticks. Actually it was damn near impossible. He ate quietly until his attention was brought back to the little girl. Ryu moved his fork in a way to show Leo that his teeth had dragged marks into the fork, them being so sharp that it had left small scratches, like the other forks. Reasons why they ahd so many different kinds of fork styles. Ryu ruined them rather quickly. Like toothbrushes.He couldn't help but smile at Ana, shaking his head, "I'm sorry. I can't do that this weekend. I have nationals this weekend so I'm going to be at practice most of the time." He said, shrugging. "I'll come over someday, I promise." He said, giving her a nice smile.
Leo noticed the fork and remebered one time he had actually broken a plastic fork when they had been eating lunch together and he had to share his own fork with Ryu. The memory of the being together hurt his chest. He really wanted to be with him, but he just couldn't. He watched him smile at Ana and felt jealous of her which was ridiculous. Now could he be jealous of his little sister as something so petty as a smile, but the fact Ryu did the complete opposite when he opened his mouth bugged him. Only if he was cute as Ana maybe he would just agree with anything he wanted happily.Ana pouted, "You promise?"
Nodding, he gave her another small smile. He put his fork in his mouth, pulling it out and when he did, the fork was missing one of the metal pieces. He looked down at it, his face scrunching up in disgust. He pinched the metal piece in his teeth and swallowed the cake, pulling out the metal sliver. "Now? Really?" he asked, putting the fork down with his giggling sister and his snickering mother. His father sighed, understanding the pain."Sorry, Ryu." His father said, a smirk on his face.
"Uh huh. Sure. Say sorry to mom, these were some of her favorites." He said, holding up the end of it. He walked out of the room and grabbed himself another one. Somehow, he could break a metal fork anymore. It sucked. He sighed, sitting back down.
