Do you like long haired, short haired? What about Siamese cats? Manx cats? Other cats?

Inge Borg (goodreadscominge_h_borg) | 98 comments My first cat was a "papered" Himalayan...that was it for me. Until I got him a tiger-striped friend "Hexe" from the local animal shelter (I didn't know it then nor cared about it, but she was probably Maine Coon); sweetest little thing ever. Fished b/w tuxedo-beastie "Sammy" off the rocks of Redondo Beach pier. After moving to Arkansas, got Turkish Van NickNack from the vet...you get my drift. Though I am still a push-over for blue eyes (oh, wait, that's for the guys!).

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 393 comments My beloved Phoebe is classed as a short-haired cat but her fur is somehow deliciously thick and soft even though it is not long enough to class her as a long-haired cat. She is deliciously stripey with extra long whiskers, extra long tail, everything about her is somehow generous.
She loves to have a human sit down with her, stare deep into her eyes and tell her long stories about all her past lives. She believes every word.

There is no greater pleasure in this world than picking her up (straight back now - she's no lightweight) and just squeezing her tightly against your neck. She will immediately purr and try to lick you. She has so much love and just wants to keep it all pouring out.

Diane A | 8 comments I've had all kinds of cats in my life, I love 'em all! But my favorite was my Bombay mix SweetBoy. Solid black (including pads, lips, nose, and part of his tongue!) with coppery gold eyes, he had the most loving, affectionate disposition of any cat I had before or since. He lived to be 17 before suffering a stroke and I had to let him go.

Jennifer Priester (jenniferpriester) | 207 comments Just as it is for me with dog's I also love all cats. As far as cats go I prefer shorthair because unlike with longhairs you can really see the shape of the cat and I don't get as much hair up my nose when I play with them during shedding season. My favorite cat colors/markings are black and tabby, and my favorite breed is the Bombay.

Melissa (emtmelissa) | 32 comments I like all cats, but I tend to have more allergy issues with short haired cats than other types of cats. So, I guess in that sense I prefer longer haired cats.

I love all Cats! I don't care if they're different kinds! I don't care if a cat is different,I love them all the same!

I love all cats and I think orange ones are very beautiful, but I do not go by color when choosing a cat. But although the coloring is nice, I do not prefer orange cats above others.

ALL CATS! BUT MOSTLY DOMESTICATED CATS!

❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) I love cats with long hair! I love grooming them :D
I love all cats in general, even if it's a tiger <3
And on my 'To-Do' list in life, having a pet tiger and lion is there too :)

I've had a few different kinds of cats in my life: calico, Siamese, and now a Maine Coon. I absolutely loved each and everyone for so many different reasons. I have found the Siamese and Maine Coon to be very personable companions.

I used to have a wonderful looking calico before I became allergic. I love the looks of Siamese cats. They are so pretty.

I've had two types of Siamese. One was a Redpoint Siamese (all white with a hint of red and blue eyes), his name was Leo. Sadly, he got out of our house one day and never returned. :(
My other Siamese, Jordan, was a traditional that I rescued from the pound. Sadly, he had a tumor in his intestines, the vet and I believe the previous owners gave him to the pound because they couldn't afford to care for him. I had to have him put to sleep since the tumor was inoperable and he was in pain. :(((

It's so hard when we have to put our pets down. I know how hard it's going to be with my older dog. He's going on 11 yrs old and sometimes has a hard time now.
