(view spoiler)[I like Essie's character. She seems very sure of herself in a way that's not annoying, which isn't seen in very many books. So far nothings happened to relate the story to snow white other than seeing a few of the seven drones that work in the mines. It's interesting so far. (hide spoiler)]

End (view spoiler)[ i think it was resolved in a simple way, like her dad and stepmother die and than everyone accepts here as a queen, the end. I was not a fan of this book and i usually like retelings, i made an effort to like this because i like snow white but it just did not work for me (hide spoiler)]
