Zach smiled a little bit," yeah I know I'm just messing with you." He answered then nodded," That's the word I was looking for."

Lucas chuckled softly. "See! Senile." Lucas teased, a playful smile curving his lips.
Zach playfully glared at him," No no I am not.. Forgetting one word does not make me senile." He retorted playfully
Lucas laughed and placed his hand on Isaiah when he shifted around. "Who said it was just one word? I'm sure you've forgotten a lot of words you're just hiding it." he joked.
Zach shook his head," Nope I don't forget that much." He replied. "At least I still remember when you showed up on my door step looking for a job and Isaiah just about flew out the door and you caught him after chasing him around my front yard."
Lucas nodded. "Yeah. Isaiah didn't like me then." he said with a soft chuckle as he looked down at Isaiah in affection. There was no denying that he loved the little boy.
Zach nodded," That's true and now he always wants to know when you are coming over to see him." He replied
Lucas nodded. "He knows my phone number. I was at home last week when he called me from your phone. I thought something had happened but he just wanted to know when he would see me again." he said with a grin.
Zach laughed softly and shook his head," he doesn't actually know your number he just knows where your number is in my phone." He replied looking at Isaiah then back at Lucas
Lucas nodded. "Still, he's smart." he commented and sighed softly. His shoulder was starting to ache and he should probably call the nurse.
Zach looked over at him," do you need me to take him?" He asked
Lucas shook his head. "No, although I am paging for medicine so I may be out of it." he admitted with a soft chuckle as he reached over and pressed the button to get a nurse.
Zach nodded a little bit," okay then.. Just tell me if you want me to take him.. Although he doesn't look like he wants to be moved."
Lucas nodded as the nurse came in and gave him more pain medicines. "Give it ten minutes. He'll be asleep." she said as she left the room.
Zach nodded knowing all too well how fast the medications that the nurses gave you would knock you out. "Maybe Isaiah and I should just head out.. It's getting late and you need to get some sleep." He told Lucas as he got up
Lucas ran a hand over his face and nodded. "That's probably a good idea. I'm sure I'll see you guys later." he said, giving a soft smile as he looked over at Zach.
Zach nodded gently picking Isaiah up off Lucas. "I'll come get you when you get discharged and you can stay with us until you get the full use of your arm back." He said
Lucas was to tired to argue so he just waved his hand in dismissive acceptance. "Whatever you say." he said as he moved around to get comfortable again since Isaiah was gone.
Zach smiled a little bit as he leaned over gently kissing Lucas. "Get some sleep and I'll see you tomorrow." He said softly
Lucas gave him a small kiss back and then nodded. "Alright." he said as he watched Zach leave with Isaiah.
Zach smiled at him and offered a small wave before walking out the door and down the hall to his car with his still sleeping son in his arms
Lucas was asleep not long after they had left.
Zach drove himself and Isaiah home with a little smile on his face
((Umm maybe when he gets out of the hospital?))
((Sure thing)) Zach walked into his house after picking Lucas up from the hospital." Okay so you can have the guest room but just warning you Isaiah is just about out if his mind with happiness you are staying here."
Lucas laughed and braved an arm on his shoulder as he did. No jostling is what the doctor said. "So long as he doesn't tackle me, I think we're good." he said, walking in beside him. Lucas dropped his other hand, gripping the handle of his duffle bag.
Zach nodded," I'll catch him before he gets to you." He answered with a laugh. "Here he comes." He said hearing Isaiah's little feet coming down the stairs. "Woote you here!" He yelled
Lucas listened and watched as he ran into the room. "Yes, I'm here, buddy." he said, leaning over to ruffle the boy's hair.
Zach caught the little boy before he could flung himself at Lucas. "Are you taying wif us?" He asked jumping up and down in his excitement
Lucas nodded. "For a little while. Just until my arm gets better." he answered, gesturing to his armsling. The doctor had decided to put him in it to minimize moving on his part.
Isaiah frowned," you not taying wif us always?" He asked. He looked at Zach and then at Lucas," No buddy he can't."
Lucas shook his head. "No, buddy." he said and smiled at the little boy, not wanting him to be upset.
Isaiah sighed," ohh... But I want you to." He answered looking at Lucas with a little frown
Lucas just nodded and put his duffel bag down. He ran a hand through his hair and ignored the ache in his shoulder.
Zach looked at him," go on and rest Isaiah will be good for us now right?" He asked looking at the small boy. Isaiah nodded," yeah I be good."
Lucas nodded and picked his bag up. He went upstairs, closing the door behind hm. Lucas carefully took off his shirt to check his bandages for blood.
Zach watched him go upstairs and went to the kitchen with Isaiah to make dinner for them all. He also decided to make brownies for dessert
Lucas laid on the bed and sighed softly after taking his medicine. He rolled into his good arm and closed his eyes, his back to the door.
Zach sent Isaiah up to Lucas's room to see if he wanted to eat yet. Isaiah tiptoed into the room and patted Lucas' head," Woote?" He whispered
Lucas rolled onto his back and looked over at him. "Yeah, buddy?" he asked, smiling at the little boy.
"Daddy wants us to eat." He said softly. "You come?" He asked looking at Lucas but still talking very softly as if Lucas was still sleeping.
"Yeah. Go tel Daddy I'm coming. I'll be down in a minute, okay?" Lucas said as he sat up on the bed then grabbed his shirt and started to carefully maneuver it on.
Isaiah nodded a little bit," otay I tell him woote." He said with a smile and ran to tell Zach that Lucas was coming ((Did you loose the other ones :)
((I did. Sorry.)). Lucas went downstairs when he had his shirt on. He walked into the living area and leaned back against the wall.
Isaiah was sitting on the counter putting chocolate chips on a brownie he made for Lucas. Zach looked up and smiled a bit as Lucas as he heard him come in.
((It's okay... I honestly don't even know if I could find them.))
Lucas smiled at Zach. "A little bird told me it was time to eat." he said
Zach chuckled," Isaiah did you wake Lucas?" He asked Isaiah nodded a little
Lucas shook his head. "No. I wasn't sleeping. Just resting." he answered. Which was true.
