Lucas nodded and said his goodbyes before hanging up. Even the thought of being around them made him happier. Hospitals weren't his thing but he knew he would have to keep dealing with it.

Zach out his phone back into his pocket and went to the neighbor to pick Isaiah up. After Isaiah had run away from Sarah that week had been her last and now Zach didn't have the time to really look for another sitter for his son so his neighbor offered to watch Isaiah and he accepted. Before heading to the hospital Zach changed and got a few snacks for Isaiah not knowing how long they would stay for. He drove them to the hospital and walked over to Lucas's door with Isaiah walking next to him. "We are here." He said as he pushed open the door not even twenty minutes after hanging up the phone with him
Lucas had started surfing idly through the available channels on the hospital TV and ended up settling on the cooking show again. He looked up as Zach spoke then walked through the door with Isaiah. Every time, they made him smile. "Finally. I thought you were never going to arrive." he joked.
Zach chuckled softly and walked into the room with his son following behind him. "Really? I was going to stop and get a movie and food too but I didn't." He replied. Isaiah let for of Zach's hand and ran over to Lucas' side," woote! You otay?" He asked staring up at him with big brown eyes
Lucas looked down at Isaiah and ruffled the little boy's hair. "Yeah. I'm okay, buddy." Lucas answered then smiled at him. Oh, how he had missed Isaiah. "How are you, Isaiah?" he asked him, raising a brow at him.
Isaiah nodded a little bit and Zach picked him up and carefully placed him in the bed with Lucas. "I bein' a dood boy." He answered with a smile
"Are you? Well, I hope your being good for Daddy." Lucas said scooting over a smidge. He didn't need to go far, the boy was so small.
Isaiah nodded a little bit," Yeah... What happen woote?" He asked looking over Lucas. He didn't like hospitals anymore than the next kid but spending time in one just after his dad was hurt and then Lucas he really didn't like them
Lucas ran a hand through his hair with his good hand. "I got hurt in the shoulder." he answered, trying to answer as simply as he could. Lucas didn't want to scare Isaiah anymore than he seemed to be, being in the hospital.
Isaiah nodded a little," Ohh wike daddy hurt his leg?" He asked thinking about the crash he and Zach were in Zach looked at them as he sat down in a chair
"Something like that, yeah." Lucas answered, giving Isaiah a smile and raising his hand to have a high five. This kid would always make him smile, no matter what.
Isaiah nodded slightly and tapped his hand on Lucas' in only a way a kid could. Zach smiled as he watched them," how do you watch this without starving?" He asked glancing at the tv as Isaiah carefully moved around so he was sitting about as close to Lucas as he could get
Lucas shrugged. "My inappetite for hospital food, probably." he answered with a soft chuckle. Lucas held Isaiah adjust them put his ash around the small boy. So long as he didn't make him move his arm, Isaiah could sit as close as he liked.
Zach chuckled softly," yeah hospital food isn't the best. How about I go out and get us dinner instead then you don't have to eat this food and Isaiah and I can stay longer?"He suggested
Isaiah just stayed cuddled with him
Lucas shook his head. "As much as I would love that, they won't allow it. Already tried. One of my friends brought food and was told to take it back out of the hospital." he answered, resting his hand on Isaiah's back.
Zach frowned a little bit," well that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."'he answered," oh well I'll just take you out on e they discharge you." He replied with a slightly shrug. Isaiah just leaned against him a bit and sighed softly content to just be next to Lucas for a while
Lucas chuckled softly. "Alright then. I guess we'll do that." he said then looked down at Isaiah. "Comfortable, buddy?" Lucas teased the little boy softly. He felt like a big brother to Isaiah at this point, which was odd since he had no idea where he and Zach stood c
Zach nodded slightly as he watched to make sure Isaiah didn't hurt Lucas. Isaiah nodded," yeah... I miss you wots wooke." He said softly snuggling close and closing his eyes a little bit. Zach wasn't sure how he felt about all of this sometimes he thought he and Lucas were something and others not so much they hadnt been about to talk like they had planned
Lucas sighed softly. He didn't want to boy to have to miss him but there was no possible way to remedy that so they were going to have to compromise. Isaiah saying things like that made him guilty he hadn't visited them at all. Lucas looked over at Zach who seemed to be thinking hard.
Zachary came out of his thoughts a little after Lucas looked over at him," we still need to talk." He said softly looking at him and then Isaiah
Lucas turned back to the tv as Zach spaced out. When he spoke again, he looked over at Zach. "Yeah, we do." he agreed.
Zach looked at the two in the bed and smiled a little," We will talk tonight when Isaiah is sleeping."
Lucas nodded. "Alright." he said then smiled slightly. He was going to say something when his phone rang. Lucas picked it up then put it back down at the blocked number.
Isaiah just stayed tucked against him as he slowly fell asleep. Zach looked at them both," someone was tired." He commented softly
Lucas chuckled softly. "Apparently." he said as he looked down at Isaiah.
Zach smiled slightly," soo what are we going to do?" He asked deciding that since Isaiah was asleep they could talk for a little bit
Lucas sighed softly. "I don't know, Zach." he answered. He wanted to tell Zach he loved him but he didn't hunk it was time for that, if ever, and was afraid of little ears.
Zach nodded a little bit and sighed a little bit," okay well I think we should think about what we both want."
"Then what do you want?" Lucas asked, running a hand through his hair. While Zach had been visiting him in the hospital, Lucas had been dreaming about him, Zach, and Isaiah as a family.
Zach looked at him," I don't know I want a lot of things."He answered softly looking at him. He had been thinking about everything and he did want something else with Lucas
Lucas nodded but was getting frustrated. They weren't going to get anywhere if they kept saying, "I don't know,". Lucas looked down at Isaiah then back up at Zach, quietly.
Zach softly sighed." This is ridiculous... Is Isaiah sleeping?" He asked looking at the two of them. He couldn't tell that if Isaiah was sleeping or not
"I think he is." Lucas said, placing a hand on the little boy's back. His breathing seemed slow enough to indicate sleep.
"Okay so we don't have to worry about him listening to us." Zach said softly and looked at them
Lucas shook his head. "No." he replied, looking back up at Zach.
Zach looked at him," So then what do you want from me?" He asked," I'm not going to judge you."
"I don't want anything from you, Zach. I want you." Lucas said softly as he looked over at Zach. This was it. He was going to tell him.
Zach looked at him with a half shocked look on his face." What... You aren't just saying that are you?" He asked softly
Lucas shook his head. "No. You is what I want from you." he said then looked away. He couldn't say it yet. Lucas wasn't wasting the breath of it was fro not.
Zach nodded slightly," that's good to know." He said softly,"'because I want you." He answered quietly
Lucas smiled softly. Oh, how bad he had hoped. "Good. I'd don't what I'd do if you didn't." he said, joking a little.
Zach laughed softly." Yeah I suppose that would have been bad... So what are we going to do about it?" He asked
Lucas didn't know. It was such an odd thing to talk about. He really just wanted to proceed like a normal couple and go out together. Lucas ran a hand silently over the hospital blanket.
Zach looked at him and sighed softly. "How about once you get out of here I take you out?" He asked," We can start over if you want.. We won't talk about what we are going to do next just take it one day at a time like everyone else."
((I can't find the others... Sorry.))Lucas looked up at him and smiled softly, his hand coming to a stop on his lap. "I would love too." he said then narrowed his eyes at Zach playfully. "Did you read my mind?"
((Ill see if I can find them )) Zach smiled at him," good I'd like it too." He replied then chuckled softly," yes I did.. Didn't I mention that I'm a vampire and my power is to read minds?" He asked
Lucas laughed and shook his head. "No, you did not. I don't know if I'm cool with dating a vampire." he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
Zach grinned a little bit," ohh I forgot to mention that? Oops." He replied, "what? I thought all you younger people wanted to be with a vampire or a wolf person." He teased temporarily forgetting the word werewolf
Lucas snorted. "Not all of us." he said then raised a brow at Zach. "It's werewolf." Lucas corrected softly, running a hand through his hair.
